As a retired school counselor with extensive background in dealing with substance abuse issues, I am best positioned to assist clients with difficulties related to social, academic or behavioral issues. I am particularly attuned to the ways in which parenting styles impact upon the functioning of children and to the most efficient ways of creating change to promote the likeliness of a person's or family's success and happiness. At times, these are most effectively addressed through an examination and fostering of an individual's goal-setting and motivation and how these may encumber his or her movement on the path to future satisfaction.
In addition to helping clients improve their family dynamics or individual blocks to fulfillment, I am experienced in helping people eliminate self-harming behaviors which impede their progress. Cooperating together, individuals and I work together to navigate the route around their difficulties to help them lead more productive and satisfying lives.
My office is conveniently located with every resource imaginable which might be desired by children or adults. Clients find that its comfortable ambiance combined with my professional expertise create an atmosphere which is especially conducive to progress in therapy.
