Life has a way of squeezing us through bottlenecks we never saw coming - addiction, loss, anxiety, isolation, or simply waking up one day feeling like the person in the mirror is a stranger. I have spent 37 years sitting across from people in exactly those moments - at Rikers Island, Spofford Juvenile Center, and Elmhurst Hospital - and what I have learned is this: the strength to get through it is already inside you. My job is simply to help you find it again.
I specialize in addiction recovery, depression, anxiety, OCD, family dynamics, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in the Strengths Perspective - I focus on what is already working in you and build from there. Therapy with me is a goal-oriented journey of self-discovery toward a more fulfilling life.
I do not believe in a therapist who sits above you or makes you feel less than. In my practice there is no superior or inferior - just two people working together toward your healing.
