The pain of grief can be overwhelming and unbearable at times. The loss of a loved one is probably one of the most difficult situations that we will experience in life, especially if you are struggling with symptoms of complicated grief, such as intense feelings of guilt or responsibility, nightmares or disturbing images, or extreme emotional dysregulation that interferes with your daily functioning. Sometimes thoughts, images and emotions have us "stuck" in our grief journey, and we need help working through these issues...
I specialize in grief counseling and helping people work through issues that oftentimes go hand-in-hand with grief including depression, anxiety, trauma and insomnia. I have completed the Suicide Bereavement Loss Clinician Training through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and I am also a certified EMDR therapist for the treatment of trauma.
My approach is warm, collaborative and "person-centered" as grief is a very unique process for each individual.
