It is our desire at Water's Edge Counseling and Play Therapy to meet our clients where they are at. We are living in unprecedented times with the on set of the Covid-19 virus. In a few short months this pandemic has effected everyone in this nation. If you or someone you know is experiencing loneliness, anxiety, depression or frustration of being in your homes and not going about daily routines. Please give us a call. We have a team of skilled therapists who are waiting to provide you with in home video chat sessions. In office, we are disinfecting after every session. Clients can wait in their car and call when they arrive.

We encourage each clinician to engage in ongoing training to stay informed of the most successful counseling techniques. We have counselors who work with various issues including, marital, relationship, addictions, trauma, parenting, adoptions, and play therapy. Our clinicians are trained in play therapy, EMDR and other specialty techniques.

We strive to form a relationship connection with each of our clients. Our belief is that relationship is the foundation for a successful counseling experience. Opening up and sharing is difficult, talk with your counselor about any roadblocks or challenges you are experiencing.

The purpose of anger management is to help one learn to control the negative behaviors that arise from becoming overwhelmingly angry. This group will assist with coping strategies to learn to control reactions and respond in a socially appropriate manner. Anger can arise from internal events such as perceived failures, injustices, or frustrations or external events such as bullying, or humiliation. One of the skills learn will be a slower reaction to anger. This can help identify the underlying causes of the anger. The roots of anger may be buried in emotional trauma, addiction, grief, or other issues.
