About

Watercolor Recovery is an organization with one primary goal, to offer those suffering with the disease of substance use disorder a foundation and support network for a new life in recovery. The staff, treatment modality, facilities, and the recovery community are all integrated into the program to offer a greater opportunity for long-term recovery. Recovery is a lifelong process, Watercolor Recovery offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals can trust and move from an intellectual to feelings level. As acceptance of the disease, the willingness to change, and a spiritual relationship form from within oneself, the foundation for a new beginning is thus created. Watercolor Recovery- recovery is a beautiful mess!
Watercolor Recovery offers an opportunity for recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. This does include families and all of those affected by the destruction of substance use disorders. The most important message in this information is that people DO recover from the destructive lifestyles and damaged relationships that are a result of the misuse and abuse of substances. Watercolor Recovery's staff, partners, treatment programs, and continuum of service programs combine to produce long-term recovery. Watercolor Recovery provides treatment services to adult men and women ages 18 years old and older. Intensive outpatient (IOP), individual counseling, family counseling, and recovery coaching services are offered Monday thru Friday, with evening and weekend programming available both in-person and virtual.
Substance use disorder (SUD) is chronic disease that can be clearly diagnosed and should not be considered a symptom of other disorders. Left untreated, it is progressive and often fatal. There is no known "cure" for the disease. A person can however, establish long-term recovery. Long-term recover is often established by the individual attending to their physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs. Treatment places a person on a course of continual change and helps develop healthy interdependent relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and other people in recovery. The foundation of our philosophy is built upon the principals of the twelve steps. A 12-step recovery model is the most successful and widely available, Watercolor Recovery realizes that this approach is not suited for every individual. The program incorporates other peer-based models such as Smart Recovery, Recovery Dharma, and those programs based in world religions. Within a structured, supportive therapeutic milieu, the client is assisted in shifting his or her reliance on chemicals to a reliance on self and others.
