Specifically, I specialize in helping youth (13 and older) who are questioning their gender and/or sexuality, people practicing consensual non-monogamy, neurodivergent clients, sexual outsiders (kink/BDSM), and older adults experiencing changes in sexual function.
Sexuality and gender are woven into every aspect of our lives. Whether it is going through puberty, questioning gender or sexual orientation, figuring out dating, relating to a partner, exploring desire or alternative relationship models, or adapting to the changes of aging, sex therapy can help people navigate these challenges and build skills for improved health, pleasure, and connection. Sex therapy is very similar to other forms of mental health counseling, often focused on talking through your concerns, thoughts, and emotions. I see individuals, couples, constellations, and family groups.

With that being said, many of my clients tend to be queer, young adults who have experienced childhood trauma and are prepared to begin the healing journey, or perhaps pickup where they may have previously left off.
Therapy can be a challenging process and it is my goal to meet you with compassion, support, and a safe space to help guide you through whatever difficulties or pain you may be experiencing. As a therapist, I believe my role is to come alongside you and guide you on your journey, therefore it is important that we make a good team and feel like a good fit for each other.

I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and adults and am certified in Narrative Focused Trauma Care and enjoy working with clients who experience complex trauma.
Hi, welcome. I’m Rachel (they/them)! I believe human suffering wells up from a myriad of different sources. It is human nature to suffer, but what we do with it creates our life path. A major factor that may heighten your deep sense of pain is the lack of someone willing to be present in your pain and listen to your story. People innately desire to be seen and have their stories witnessed. Unfortunately many in society fear this intimate act of witnessing, leaving many to experience the void and pain of isolation in addition to their core suffering. One of the first and greatest steps toward healing is to have stories witnessed.

I am a trauma-informed practitioner and have six years of experience working with adults and elders on a variety of concerns, including life transitions and stress, traumatic experiences, toxic and abusive relationships, chronic illness and disability, gender, sexuality, anxiety, and depression. While I work with individuals, there are structural imbalances in our society that contribute to individual problems. For example, rape culture, dealing with patriarchy, white supremacy, colonialism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. I believe that these structural problems are relevant to the individual therapeutic experience.

My services are for folks of any gender who are curious to explore their relationship and/or family dynamics. I am especially eager to work with individuals who are curious about what they may perceive as chronic relational challenges. Using a trauma and attachment informed lens, we will explore how our early attachment experiences shape the interpersonal habits and behaviors we can carry throughout the lifespan. I have an extensive background working with youth (13-17), young adults (18-25), and adults . I enjoy supporting people as they navigate life, including transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and chronic pain

I am a somatically and ecologically-oriented counselor committed to wellness through connection with self, community, & nature. I am certified in the Somatic Experiencing Method®, a trauma resolution methodology that supports nervous system regulation, which can be helpful for many different needs. I view a variety of symptoms as having a modern cultural context, such as a lack of adequate community, connection with nature, meaningful work connected to one's gifts, natural movement, or various other soulful endeavors. I work with individual adults (rather than couples or children/teens). Website: www.wild-roots.net

I am a queer and nonbinary therapist who specializes in working with transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive individuals. I primarily work with youth and young adults around issues of gender identity development, gender dysphoria, and transition. Most of my clients come to therapy seeking support with these issues, but sometimes clients come seeking support with other life concerns and are looking for a therapist who understands their lived experiences as a trans person.

Across my varied caseload, the common aim of the therapy is to cultivate a greater capacity for my patients to be present and work with themselves in authenticity. In growing attention to one's needs and particular inner/outer world, we collaboratively develop ways to live in a more attuned and meaningful way. My patients are often young adults and teens processing complex trauma, identity, and living with the uncertainties of this world.

Hi - I'm Alyxx. My pronouns are they/them. My ideal client is someone living on the fringes, someone who feels like they have never quite fit in with the thin/white/cis/het esthetic that is so predominant in our culture. If you are ready to do the work to change, I'm ready to walk that path with you!

My counseling clinic name is Pain Alternatives because my early practice was primarily in structural medicine. I became interested in mental wellness after years of seeing the inextricable connectedness of mental and physical pain. In my current practice, I use a time-limited dynamic psychotherapy model, and medication prescription and management wherever clinically appropriate. You can come for medication management alone, for counseling alone, or for a combination of medication prescription and management with counseling sessions.

Teletherapy
Teletherapy and Online counseling have grown enormously as a medium for therapy since the advent of social distancing. Most therapists are happy to provide sessions by video or phone.

All professionals are licensed to provide video therapy to clients within the State in which they hold their license. Cross State licensing exists, but is rare.

So if you're a client in Washington, this list of teletherapists are licensed to provide therapy to you online (by phone, video or text based chat) because they are within your state. They are sorted nearest to furthest, with professionals in Washington listed first.

Teletherapy via phone or video can be very similar to conventional in person sessions. The message is the same, even if the medium is different. There are some advantages in the form of convenience, lack of travel and being in comfort of your own home. Set against those, professionals find it more difficult to read non-verbal signals of their clients, and you may find you yourself can be more easily distracted.
