About
As an empathetic helping professional, I acknowledge the Black and Blue experience, literally and metaphorically speaking, and the experience of Black bodies subjected to oppressive conditions. There exists contextual and historical racial wounds and trauma experienced, with a contemporary focus on aggressive policing, oppression, and intersectionality holding multiple identities. While trained in traditional psychotherapy and clinical approaches, I do/can depart from traditional modalities to engage in anti-racism and anti-oppression frameworks to begin the authentic healing and personal liberation for people of color.
I am a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and NYS Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) trained in NYS OASAS/OMH Certified Integrated Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, and am a Court approved Forensic Evaluator trained in Child Permanency Mediation, Moral Reconation Therapy, and Strengthening Families.
I am here to help those challenged by life, those marginalized by oppressive conditions, and those with clinical disorders. Trust in my ability to help empower you to facilitate change in your life.
