My name is Wandalyn Lane, I am an LMFT, and I have provided services in mental health for over 20 years. My approach to therapy is solution-focused as well as empathy-based. I enjoy working with the entire family to build a healthy family unit. I believe that the individual, couple, or family coming to therapy must lead their work. I engage in the process with Brief Solution Focus, CBT, Family Systems, Narrative, Experiential, etc.
I have worked with individuals 18 months to 75 years old. The majority of my experience is working with pre-teens and teens. For the past 10 years, I have worked with adults and couples/marriages. My experience is helping individuals work through traumas, depression/anxiety, relationships, and just being stuck in life.
I inform individuals that they are in a safe place; 'people don't care what you know until you know that someone cares.' My goal is to help the individual be aware that he/she is the most important person in the room. I create a space of calm, peace, and comfort.
