Hi, I am Scott Dilk, I specialized in trauma recovery, depression and anxiety. I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Washington. I have been in the mental health field for over fifteen years and have been a mental health counselor for over ten.
I am effective with all people and had great success with helping women when co facilitating a women's empowerment group and now in individual therapy. I feel that being able to model appropriate masculinity can help heal men and women and trans clients. I am looking forward to getting an office.
My early career helped me develop a calm reassurance during crisis, but I have dedicated training and attention in recent years to trauma recovery. This includes EMDR, but I am also skilled at Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
One of my main philosophies of therapy is described in a metaphor. Therapy is an economy and trust is the currency. This leads me to be attentive to the whole person. I tailor each therapy style to the individual, focusing on what works best for you. I bring my authentic self to each session and encourage you to do the same. Lets connect further.
