Do you cherish adventure? If so, come join me, therapeutic dungeon master, Walter, on a quest for social skills. Learn to conquer your social fears through playing Dungeons and Dragons with a trained mental health professional.
This group is a unique combination of playing a well-known roleplaying game, where participants can practice social skills to accomplish tasks together where communication and cooperation is essential to succeed.
The primary population this group serves are aged 13-17 neurodivergent teens who have some difficulty with understanding/interpreting social ques.
Cost is $300 for 4-6 teens. In person only.
I have over 30+ years of experience playing and leading Dungeons & Dragons and over 10+ years of working with teens in various therapeutic settings. I utilize the Game to Grow method and have a certification as a therapeutic dungeon master (recognized by the APA).
Group meets for 12 sessions on Thursdays from 5-7pm at Summit Mental Health Services.
This is a closed group that will start as soon as the minimum number of spots are filled.
All sessions will be in person, at the Summit Mental Health Services office in Gig Harbor. This are no virtual/telehealth spots. Note that all participants must be able to be safe and independent for an extended period of time (2 hours) in order to participate.

Hello, do you like excitement? Do you cherish adventure? If so, come join me, therapeutic dungeon master, on the adventure of a lifetime! You will face horrible monsters in dungeons and deadly dragons in their lairs. Along the way, you will solve mysteries. You will face challenges. Most of all, you will conquer your fears and learn bravery! Come join the quest of a lifetime and become a hero! This group is a unique combination of both sets of these skills, with the goal of assisting kids and teens with difficult social interactions.
