I have a passion for helping individuals identify and process religious harm and trauma, particularly in evangelical based church settings.
If you're looking for a therapist who offers a supportive space to work through trauma, anxiety, identity, or relationship challenges, I’m here to help. I use a relational, trauma-informed approach that fosters trust and growth. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am trained and have experience in Lifespan Integration, Religious Trauma Therapy, and Gottman Level 1 for relational work.

Every person holds a story worth telling and reclaiming. In my practice, I create a safe space for reflection, curiosity, and meaning-making, where experiences are honored and your voice leads toward healing and hope. Your story matters—and it deserves to be heard with compassion. I'm here to walk alongside you if you are ready to explore your story with care and compassion. Let's begin where you are. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships—when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe. I bring a calm, nonjudgmental presence to each session, meeting you with curiosity, empathy, and respect.

I believe you are here because you desire an improved emotional health. You may be struggling with anxiety, grief, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, or negative thought patterns that has led to emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles. Many clients have come to my office to process their experiences around "feeling stuck" with various challenges such as emotionally connecting with others in general or experiencing communication issues in marriage or parenting. And some have expressed struggling with practicing genuine compassion for themselves and managing stress in healthier ways.

I work with faith-based clients and secular clients alike, and have worked with many clients of all faiths, but especially the Catholic faith.
I have a range of treatment modalities I have studied and use in my practice, namely CBT, SFBT, and EMDR just to name a few. The main tool I use in my practice though is the relationship I build with you. We make life changes and discoveries through relationships, not just modalities.

I offer faith-based, Christian counseling.
Interventions that incorporate religious beliefs, values, and practices can play as large or small a role in our work together as you wish it to. As with anything we do in therapy, you have the right to ask questions, state what you do and do not want, and decide what works best for you.

Are you seeking therapy to improve your self-worth, find stress relief, or for personal growth? My approach blends evidence-based techniques with genuine empathy, so you don’t just cope, you grow. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is healing: one built on trust, safety, and mutual respect. As a mixed-raced person, I also enjoy exploring the many intersectional layers that come with trying to understand our own identity.

Do you ever feel like you can't find peace? Stress and anxiety are challenges on their own. When they begin to impact other parts of our lives and lead to chronic health conditions, life can feel overwhelming. Sometimes it can feel as though there is never time to rest, or maybe you've forgotten what rest even feels like. If that's the case, you're not alone. The pace of our modern world is not in alignment with how our nervous systems are built to function. That's why I specialize in nervous system regulation and helping individuals to cultivate resilient and adaptive nervous systems.

As we all know life is full of ups and downs, but for you it may feel like your life has been filled with more challenging places then maybe others around you have experienced. You’re starting to feel like it’s time to make some changes, and feel good about yourself and about your life. There may be a loss, a difficult relationship, or other challenges in your life. You're in a place where you can’t continue on the path that you are on, even though you feel like you should be thankful for what you do have in life. It’s okay to have those very thoughts and feelings.

Christian Therapists
Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?
Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work effectively together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience in tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of culture, religion, and other factors on each individual.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Christian values?
Each person brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of treatment modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition that strongly influences the way they conduct their everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process. For some clients, a Christian therapist is likely to incorporate faith-based principles into emotional healing techniques.

How do I recognize an effective Christian therapist?
Christian therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Christian beliefs and values. They have an understanding of the importance that Christian principles play in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of struggles that can affect daily functioning. Like all effective therapists, a Christian therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of life.

Why might someone feel comfortable with a Christian therapist?
While training, qualifications, and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic success. An alliance is likely to be strengthened with a therapist who not only is responsive to questions and concerns but also shares a client’s faith and values. Sensitivity to spiritual matters as well as to everyday struggles can provide a welcome sense of safety and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, both of which support the therapeutic process.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Christian therapists?
The directory of Christian therapists includes professionals who have shared their background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Christian clients, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
