We are living through challenging times and many of us are becoming aware of the things in our lives that aren’t working for us any longer. Some of us may be impacted by old wounds that never had the chance to fully heal; some of us are realizing we aren’t living our lives in a way that aligns with how we want to live. We believe that every person has the capacity to heal and live a life of meaning and positive well-being but that often, many of us do not have the support or skills that we need to make changes in our lives.

My therapeutic approach is strength-based, client-centered, and integrative with the belief that we have the innate ability to heal, grow, and seek greater meaning in life. I see each individual as unique, whole, and inherently good. I believe therapy is an interactive relationship between you and me. My approach prioritizes authenticity, trust, and empathy as the foundation for effective therapy. Our first step is defining what brought you to pursue counseling. Then, we will look at the the difficulties you are facing and collaborate on a plan that is specific and unique for your situation.

My approach to therapy is very client focused. I am a systemic therapist and will try and look at the whole picture of your life to help figure out how to help. Working with couples to save, restore, or provide maintenance is my passion. There’s nothing in the world quite like trauma and the way it impacts us as individuals on many different levels. I can help you deal with and navigate these painful memories and intrusive thoughts to live a healthier life. If you are a parent struggling with a child or family problems, I believe I can connect with and help teach both parent and child to help you be a more successful family unit.

I help parents and caregivers seeking a better relationship with their 3 to 12-year-old children. While working to help children learn to manage their emotions, I include parents/caregivers to help them understand their child's behaviors. Understanding why your child behaves in a certain way will allow you to respond to them in a more attuned, empathetic, and responsive way.
