TriWest Therapists in Tacoma, WA
I provide counseling services mostly by telehealth. I have offices in Washington and Georgia. I focus on working with people who want to change their behavior to get better results, to get more of what they want and less of what they don't want. That usually involves changing thinking, letting go of irrational beliefs, and learning how to let others know what your needs are. You will find me person-centered, non-confrontational, even humorous. You want to have better consequences in your life; my job is to help you find them. I also work with couples and families who want to learn how to listen to each other and stop arguing.

Facing anxiety, depression, or struggles with substance use can make life feel heavy and unpredictable, even when you’re doing everything you can to hold things together. These experiences are not signs of failure—they’re part of the complex challenges many people face quietly every day. I chose to become a mental health clinician because I believe in the strength it takes to seek support, and I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone chooses to show up for themselves. Therapy isn’t about fixing what's broken; it’s about creating space for change, growth, and resilience.

I believe therapy that combines emotional processing, skill development, and a strong therapeutic relationship can give way to a process that can be transformational for both client and therapist. These experiences can shape thoughts, emotions, and relationships in ways that feel isolating. Therapy is a space to explore these patterns, uncover new ways of coping, and build a sense of stability.

As a trauma informed therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where my clients can share their stories without the feeling of judgement. I aim to walk alongside my clients as they process hardships, anxieties, growth, victories, and change. I also recognize how overwhelming and paralyzing life’s unknowns can feel, and how trying to navigate these unknowns can create fear in our present day lives. Together, we will develop strategies and goals that help navigate through these unknowns and work toward moving past these fears so that you can feel grounded, secure, and ultimately present in your day to day life.

Therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel accepted, understood, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. You are the expert on your experiences and therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to better understand what's going on and identify what might help. I enjoy working with teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, dissociation, self-harm, identity exploration, and life transitions. As an LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for self-exploration.

I believe people do not need fixing. They need space to be themselves, talk openly, and explore whatever feels important without judgment. I am flexible, adaptable, and here to support whatever you want to work on.
My approach is rooted in respect. You are important, you deserve to take up space, and you will never be judged for who you are. I use talk therapy as the foundation and draw from CBT, SFBT, Reality Therapy, and DBT skills as I continue to learn.

Navigating through life's ever-changing landscape can be a complex journey, often marked by waves of anxiety, shades of depression, and the challenges of adjustment disorder. These experiences, though unique, share a common thread: they reflect our response to the world around us and the transitions we face. In my practice, I focus on understanding these emotional landscapes, creating a supportive space where you can explore and process these feelings. We'll work together to acknowledge the impact of life's shifts and the emotions they stir, fostering resilience and a deeper understanding of your personal journey.
