An important part of my therapy is forming a trusting relationship with you, where I can be with you in your difficult emotions and be a partner in problem solving.
Sometimes reaching out for help is the bravest thing that you can do. Life never quite goes the way we plan, and so much is outside of our control. Needing help doesn’t mean you are broken, it means you care enough to do the difficult work to make your life and the lives of those around you better. You do not need to suffer alone or figure it out yourself; we all need a safe place where we are supported in order to heal. I respect your experience, and welcome those of all gender, sexual, and romantic identities. I will focus your interests and values in combination with evidence-based therapies to achieve lasting change

I see the key components of the therapeutic relationship being founded on honesty, trust, and safety.
When someone becomes aware of themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or fearful - taking the first step in making an appointment is a part of the journey of doing brave and healing work. Counseling can be a place to discover parts of yourself that have been neglected out of protection, fear, and survival. I believe that change happens within the context of being in connection with others and being able to show up as your most authentic self. I'd like to offer a safe space to process, explore, and sit with the many experiences individuals, couples , and families can undergo.

Please note that I partner with Mindful Therapy Group for administrative support for therapy services (www.
My therapeutic approach is integrative & eclectic. I combine Eastern & Western philosophies of healing & draw on several different modalities depending on person’s presenting issues. I believe that the more therapeutic “tools” a clinician has in their “toolbox,” the more resources a clinician can draw on to best support a person’s unique individualized needs & wants throughout the therapeutic process. I will work with you to tune into your true self, recognize your unhelpful or unwanted coping mechanisms and interpersonal patterns, and discover self-compassionate ways of living that support thriving in your life as you define it.

I work with teens and adults who are in search of relief from stress, anxiety, panic, anger, low-self-esteem, depression, and relationship issues such as codependency. In my practice, I recognize that being human is complex. Big and small traumas can hold someone back from taking care of themselves, seeing their potential, forming meaningful relationships, taking aligned risks, and living an authentic life. If you are interested in getting to the root of lifelong patterns and emotional triggers that are keeping you from living your best life, then I would love to join you on your healing journey.

I work from a person center perspective, meaning I follow my clients' lead and assist them in their therapeutic goals. We all want to feel connected is an innate human desire. After COVID, many people (me included) felt isolated and lost in today's world. Anxiety, Depression, and fear of the unknown made us as humans look inwards to our upbringing, communities, and lodging for more. I focus on providing a safe, warm, and inviting environment for individuals, couples , and families to explore their hopes, dreams, and fears to increase our connections with ourselves and the essential people in our lives.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
