Are you heartbroken? Anxious? Angry? All of the above and more? You are welcome here. You may have a relationship that is falling apart or make the same bad decisions again and again. You may be overwhelmed by an overly critical mind that says you are undeserving, less than, or too much. Perhaps you take care of others and forget to take care of yourself. You long for companionship and have a deep desire to matter, to belong, and to be respected.

My ideal client is pursuing more than just coping skills. Instead, they are open to the idea that disconnection—from aspects of themselves, others, purpose, nature, or Source—is often a deeper cause of suffering. They are interested in experiential work to explore where something gets in the way of the connection that is our deepest nature and that gives rise to wellbeing. In experiential therapy, we collaborate to study the way a client experiences their body, emotions, and mind, and the way they respond in real-time. Often, we discover automatic patterns that served in the face of trauma but come at a cost that leads to suffering.

What we control in life is limited to our own inner world. We influence those around us, but the outcome is not up to us. That truth can feel like a burden when you are in the middle of something painful, and it can feel like a door when you realize it means there is still one place where your work matters. My clients are adults navigating grief, major life transitions, relationship strain, and the kind of slow rebuilding that happens after a chapter closes. Resilience is the strongest predictor of a contented life, and it can be built at any age, through any season.

I'm honored when clients contact me because I know it takes a lot of courage to reach out when you feel stuck in your life and don't know how to move forward. I recognize there are many ways a person or couple can feel stuck, including low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and lack of direction in their life. I see therapy as a collaborative effort between client and therapist, and requires more than just listening (though that is important) but also requires a framework or strategy to help individuals discover who they are beyond the problems that prompt them to seek a therapist. Scheduling new clients is up to3 weeks out.

My specialty is working with anger, anxiety, emotional regulation, and relational conflict using a wide variety of tools.
My clients are self-aware but feel stuck. They may struggle with anxiety, relationship stress, low self-esteem, or pressure from work, school, or family. They want real change, not quick fixes. They are looking for a space that feels safe while also encouraging growth. Their goals drive them to understand their habits, manage their emotions more effectively, communicate clearly, and build healthier relationships. They are seeking the comfort of a confidant; someone who will help carry that weight, and maybe have a few laughs along the way. Ultimately, they are ready to break old cycles and create something different.

Hey! I'm Ed Muldrow, a Ph.D. In today's multicultural tech world, I provide a safe, energetic space to make time for balance and life's challenges. My goals: to help you feel seen, heard, and validated, and to build strong coping skills. I work with adults (Gen X, Gen Z, Millennials), as well as teens and children, to help everyone find their voice through a strength-based approach. I’ve worked with issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, adversity, family conflict, grief, and, in the worst case, overthinking. The first question I’m often asked is, "Do you take insurance?" YES-Check with your plan.

As a trauma informed therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where my clients can share their stories without the feeling of judgement. I aim to walk alongside my clients as they process hardships, anxieties, growth, victories, and change. I also recognize how overwhelming and paralyzing life’s unknowns can feel, and how trying to navigate these unknowns can create fear in our present day lives. Together, we will develop strategies and goals that help navigate through these unknowns and work toward moving past these fears so that you can feel grounded, secure, and ultimately present in your day to day life.

I believe that everyone deserves to be accepted rather than judged or rejected, and that feelings of hopelessness and anger can be addressed through therapy.
In today’s society, I understand that some people might be occupied with their own concerns, whether related to work, personal lives, finances, or relationships. These challenges can create barriers between people and may sometimes leave individuals feeling hopeless about their future or experiencing frustration that can affect their daily lives. With this understanding, I would like to create a space where everyone feels warmly accepted and discusses it without judgment. I would like to work with both youth and adults, and all identities are welcome such as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+.

People I work with often navigate: persistent self-criticism or shame, histories of trauma, difficulty managing anger or emotional intensity, grief, or life transitions that feel disorienting.
I specialize in trauma-informed care that honors the complexity of your lived experience. My approach is relational, culturally responsive, and grounded in awareness of the nervous system. I use an integrative approach because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, drawing on interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and a strengths-based approach.

I specialize in working with relationship-based trauma, whether that is attachment issues, intimate relationship issues, having worked with or lived with a narcissist, anger management, or other expression.
I focus on providing a professional, evidence-based approach to working with sub-clinical issues through a systematic hypnotherapy model. Efficiency is one of my watchwords. Oftentimes, in a matter of just a few sessions, clients report startling and sustainable change, new insights into themselves and old patterns of beliefs or reactions, and more freedom to be their best selves.

I work with men from a Jungian depth perspective, who struggle with anger management and domestic violence.
Often times anger is brought on by unmet expectations and a symptom of deeper issues not being addressed. It's my job to metaphorically stand in a place you can not see, and point you in the right direction as to the cause of what is contributing to the anger.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
