I believe addiction is rooted from emotional pain and unmet needs. As Canadian physician Gabor Mate once asked, “The first question isn’t why the addiction; it’s why the pain?” Working with attachment theory and processing adverse childhood experiences can help identify ways in which addictive behaviors offer short-term benefits and long-term costs, making it difficult to actually meet underlying needs. When we begin to process the pain or emotional unmet need, we begin to become more aligned with our sense of identity.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping individuals navigate anxiety, codependency, and patterns of people-pleasing. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed by the pressure to meet others’ expectations, struggle to set boundaries, or find themselves stuck in cycles of worry and self-doubt. Together, we work to better understand these patterns and create space for more balanced, authentic ways of relating—to yourself and to others.

Therapy is a meaningful chance to step into a life aligned with who you want to be—free from patterns of the past and moving toward a better version of yourself. Over my career, I've gained extensive experience working with youth, including years counseling in the school system. I also specialize in working with and coaching parents. My current practice supports individuals, families, couples, and youth in tackling relational conflicts, emotional hurdles, and life's challenges by discovering and cultivating inner resilience and strengths. I believe a more fulfilling, satisfying life is achievable through consistent, workable steps.

My practice is for children, teens and adults. I work with children struggling with overwhelming feelings, emotional outbursts, or other troubling behaviors. I offer a warm and supportive space for play therapy in which I listen carefully and serve as guide and translator of troubling feelings and behaviors. I enjoy helping parents understand concerning behaviors and connect deeply with their children. My work with adults is for those who are ready to look inward in order to find a new path forward. Freedom comes through a shared examination and expression of one's experience.

I have been in the helping profession for over 25 years and have worked in many different roles during that time. I have worked with children to older adults and all ages in between. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHCA), and have worked with those with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, as well as Bipolar disorder. I prefer to use a client centered approach, in which we would work collaboratively to determine the best course to take in addressing your needs and concerns and helping to decrease problem symptoms.

Life has a way of handing us what feels like more than we can bear at times, and we can find ourselves stuck when our resources are thin and our tools seem inadequate. This is where I thrive – helping my clients get in touch with their strengths, build confidence and skills to get the life they want, all while exploring where they learned the unhelpful patterns to begin with. My goal is to help my clients learn to be defined not by their current or past circumstances, thoughts or feelings, but by the choices they commit to. My clients report they know themselves better and are more confident in their ability to handle stressors.

I work with teens and adults who are navigating grief, loss, anxiety, and the changes that come with being human. My goal is to offer a calm, grounded space where you can slow down, make sense of what feels tangled, and begin to feel more connected to yourself and others. I’ll meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect. I believe growth happens when we bring care and awareness to the parts of ourselves that need it most. Together, we can explore what it means to move forward with clarity.

Hello! I am a licensed therapist based in Seattle, WA. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and collaborative, often focusing on the impacts our experiences have on who we are and the challenges we are facing. Whether you're seeking therapy for yourself or your marriage/relationship, our work may explore relationship challenges, trauma and complex mental health concerns, and patterns that take place in families across generations. In this work we go together to the parts of you or your relationship that need attention, and with curiosity we seek healing that leads to lasting change.

What If Counseling Was Actually Helpful AND Fun? Support doesn’t have to feel clinical or uncomfortable. I believe healing works best when it’s genuine, empowering, and—yes—even a little fun. I bring humor, honesty, and compassion into every session to help you feel seen, supported, and accepted for who you are. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds who face complex, multi-layered challenges. Many therapists shy away from certain diagnoses, but I believe in destigmatizing all mental health concerns. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore even the most confusing or painful emotions.

I work with individuals and families as they navigate the lifelong journey of adoption, foster care, attachment-trauma, relinquishment, and DNA surprises, who sense that something important has been missing or misunderstood in their story. They may feel stuck in grief or want to explore identity questions, or relational patterns shaped by early disruptions and liminal loss. I also support adoptive parents through parent coaching focused on attachment, regulation, and attunement. I help create a space where experiences are named and validated so clients can build connection, meaning, and a greater sense of wholeness.
