I am a person-centered therapist who sees adult individual clients in person & presently expanding my hours so there may be openings now. My approach integrates a number of perspectives, including the connection of mind, body and emotions, and empathy-based communication. As one example, I sometimes use motivational interviewing, positive psychology, non-violent communication, and mindfulness to help clients make deeper contact with feelings, identify needs, and find expression. My background includes living and working in Taiwan and Japan, then working for Microsoft as the greater China subsidiary liaison. At one time I spoke Mandarin Chinese and Spanish for work, now only for fun. I worked as a caregiver in two community mental health group homes, as a mental health specialist in two psych hospitals.
