Do you feel like you’re carrying invisible wounds no one sees? On the outside, you keep it all together—but inside, your mind won’t stop racing and the pain never really lets up. The surface-level solutions aren't cutting it. You’ve done the journaling, listened to the podcasts, maybe even tried therapy before—but the same patterns keep resurfacing. These wounds run deep and affect your sense of self, your boundaries, and your relationships. Together, we won’t just manage symptoms—we’ll explore the roots. I offer depth-oriented therapy to help you understand your story and reconnect with your inner clarity and strength.

Do you worry, overthink, feel anxious, have panic attacks, PTSD, or avoid certain situations because of anxiety/trauma? Your thoughts may be racing, spiraling, or making you feel like you’re experiencing painful situations all over again. You may be left feeling highly anxious, overwhelmed, and not knowing how to cope. You may avoid certain situations, isolate yourself, find it hard to trust or connect with others, worry about what others might think, or become stuck in unhealthy coping patterns. At times, it can feel hard to function.

Do you get thrown off center easily? Are you noticing patterns in your life you’d like to change, or experiencing despair, shame, or anxiety about who you are and what your life looks and feels like? We are shaped by the world around us, influenced by our experiences and relationships with not only other people, but with animals, plants, places, and all of the nonhuman world. We all experience pain and weather grief and loss, sometimes in hidden or unacknowledged ways. Therapy can be used to bring conscious awareness to elements in our lives which impact or limit us.

Do you want to feel confident, at peace, trusting of yourself, and more connected in relationships, but feel stuck in some of this instead?: if I stop pushing myself so hard, I won’t be good enough; if I share my feelings or ask for what I need it'll be too much; I can't show the real me; I should be able to just handle this myself. Folks I work with are often seeking support with things underpinning or accompanying such feelings, including: anxiety, stress, negative thought loops, difficulty with self-esteem, trauma, challenges with boundary setting, and feeling disconnected.

You deserve to feel like yourself again — grounded, confident, and in charge of your life. If you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’re constantly managing other people’s expectations, therapy can help you make space for your own needs. You might find yourself reacting strongly in situations or struggling with self-doubt, and not knowing why. Often, those feelings are tied to older experiences that shaped how we learned to protect ourselves — and now they’re just keeping us stuck. You want clarity, connection, and the tools to move forward with more ease.

Self Esteem Therapists

When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?

When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?

Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?

Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?

Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
