If you are browsing through this website then you're most likely trying to find help with something in your life that you've been struggling with for for years. Maybe it's depression or anxiety and you need help trying to manage it, someone to hold it with you. Perhaps you have a hard time staying in a relationship for any length of time? Or maybe you're holding onto the secret of sexual abuse as a child or teen and have never told anyone. Sometimes things shatter and we don't know why, but it does. Life shatters us. I would love the privilege of walking with you. We can do it together. You don't have to do it alone anymore.

It is not uncommon for individuals considering talk therapy to put it off. Time. Money. Scheduling. But what about the cost of NOT doing talk therapy? What about the cost of stress? Unhealthy relationships? Limiting your full potential because of low self esteem or lack of self confidence? Impulsive behaviors that leave you feeling empty? The real bargain is living a life of healthy functioning. Working toward enduring change. Replacing those parts of your life that hold you back to make room for a life in which you flourish.

I focus on an approach from a psychoanalytic perspective, which centers around the idea that there is a core part of ourselves beyond our awareness.
You may be struggling with a specific issue or find that you are in a recurrent, difficult pattern. Therapy focuses on untangling what brings you in by exploring the past and present experiences that have shaped you. By understanding how you have responded to these events, I hope to support you in finding greater clarity, freedom, and fulfillment moving forward.

Hi, I'm Jasmine and I am glad that you are here. I am a licensed mental health counselor with five years of experience in supporting kids, teens, adults, and families. I work with individuals to help process and ease trauma, anxiety, depression and stress. This process might include: increasing connection to bodily intuition; expanding capacity to cope with difficult situations; identifying core beliefs and desires; drawing boundaries; and shifting thought patterns and behavior. I am rooted in decolonization and love incorporating astrology and cycle syncing into therapy with women.

Maybe right now, life feels like both too much and too little. Too much work, too much stress, too much screen time, too many demands, and not enough care, sleep, laughter, or rest. Maybe you even feel a little stuck. Therapy is about getting curious about who you are, how you got here, and what it might feel like to live with more freedom, connection, and trust. I work with people navigating anxiety, relational struggles, identity questions, life transitions, and the ache of feeling like you’re too much or not enough. I view therapy as a place where you will both start to feel better, and get better at feeling.

Across the lifespan, we encounter stressors of all kinds. Our moods, anxiety levels, thinking, and behaviors can depend on how well we are able to manage these stressors over time. Sometimes, regardless of our age, the coping skills we've learned and developed let us down. Utilizing a primarily psychodynamic approach, my goal in therapy is to help you experience your life (including the good and bad aspects) in a real and authentic way, grounded in self-awareness and insight, so that you can better manage your feelings, thinking, and behavior.

I am a queer relational psychotherapist with a focus of working with the LGBT/Queer community. I work primarily with folks in the queer/trans/poly/kink community. Whether you want to use therapy to talk specifically about issues related to these identities or just want a space where you don't have to define a lot of terms, I could be a good fit. I tend to work with folks on relationship issues, gender transitions, long term trauma, managing mental health diagnoses (like biploar) and substance use issues. My official training is in psychodynamic relational therapy, which is a depth-orientated way of working.

Sometimes life feels unsettled—after a loss, a major transition, or when old struggles keep resurfacing. You may be carrying anxiety, depression, grief, or the lingering impact of trauma. At other times, it can feel less clear, more like something inside is “off” or holding you back. What unites many people I work with is the wish not only for relief, but for a deeper understanding of themselves and a more authentic way of living. Even if the exact shape of that change isn’t yet clear, therapy can be a space to begin exploring what might be possible.

My approach is deeply relational, psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, based in attachment and family systems theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Energy Fluency therapy.
Seeking therapy can be a daunting process, while also being one step toward greater wholeness/healing. Relationship is where we are both wounded and healed. I work with individuals seeking relief from distressing symptoms such as; demanding too much of yourself, finding it hard to trust self, trust your own experience, self-soothing through addictive behaviors, pleasing others at your own expense, anxiety, depression, CPTSD. Our patterns of relating develop early within our first attachments, so our journey might include visiting some of those relationships to wonder how they impact you in the here and now.

I specialize in developing confidence and self-assurance. Shifts in identity, whether in how you see yourself, who you love, or the direction you want your life to take, can feel confusing or overwhelming. You might find yourself questioning who you are, feeling out of step with others, struggling to trust your own choices, or noticing patterns that leave you frustrated or anxious. Together, we’ll create space to make sense of these experiences, understand what’s driving them, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and ease.

Do you ever feel stuck in the same patterns, unsure why certain feelings or relationships keep repeating? Maybe you sense that your past still shapes how you see yourself and others. In therapy, we’ll slow down and listen closely to your inner world — the feelings, memories, and stories that have been waiting to be understood. Together, we’ll make space for reflection, healing, and self-discovery, helping you feel more connected, grounded, and at peace with who you truly are.

I am so glad you are here. Whether this is your first time working with a professional counselor or you are seeking to change counselors, congratulate yourself—it is a big step to trust yourself and seek support. I work with individuals, couples and families who are looking to explore who they are and how they can make sense of the world around them more clearly. Folks who may be experiencing anxiety and depression, or even trying to figure out if that is what they should call it. In my work with couples I look to support and facilitate healthy communication and individual and collective understanding.

I love to work with individuals who are struggling with the big questions of life. These often surface during times of transition. This time of transition might be the result of loss such as death, divorce, or the end of relationship. This transition could be a time of entering into a new season of life. Sometimes we are longing for transition and yet we are feeling stuck and unable to find our way forward. There is such fertile ground here, I would be honored to accompany you.

It can be a difficult decision to seek out therapy. The process of finding a therapist is often frustrating, tedious, and painful - having to tell your story over and over, without any guarantee that the stranger in front of you will be able to help you with what you're struggling with.

Psychoanalytic Therapists

Does psychoanalytic therapy work?

Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.

How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?

Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.

Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?

Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.

Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?

Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
