Compassionate therapist here to listen, support, collaborate, guide, and assist you in transforming your life, thoughts, vision, and plans at your pace. I have over 20 years of experience as a mental health provider. I am passionate about listening to and supporting others in their journeys. I enjoy helping individuals find or create balance in their lives and take pride in guiding you from "I can't" to "I did it!" Just because something is hard does not mean it is impossible or unachievable. Challenges can present opportunities for learning, strategizing, planning, and ultimately moving closer to achieving your desired results.

If you have gotten really good at functioning at high levels while putting past difficult or traumatic experiences on the back burner only to realize the back burner may now be beginning to boil over or is seeping into different areas of your life, you are not alone. If you are in a line of professional work that may involve witnessing death or traumatic loss, it can be difficult to find space to appropriately sit with your experience. If it seems like you are not fully in control of your emotions and behaviors at times and you find yourself spinning instead of addressing the root problem(s), there is another path forward.

The daily struggles of life, loss, relationships, and health are real. But we are not supposed to face them alone. We may not choose the pain that comes our way, but we can choose how we respond. Inner peace and strength are gifts from God — gifts that are within our reach. I will partner with you in your journey toward healing, providing the resources and space you need to apply faith and skill in everyday life.

This isn't typical talk therapy, this is real healing and lifelong impact. If you're looking for someone to unpack the problem of the week for years on end, I'm probably not your guy. But if you want to show up and work toward real goals to achieve the life you know you're capable of, I have years of experience with very effective tools that can make a difference and help change your life.

I believe we humans all have inherent goodness, beauty, and resiliency to us. Unfortunately life leaves none of us unscathed whether it be from harmful systems, family of origin dynamics, life circumstances, toxic relationships, traumatic events, or even our own self sabotaging behaviors. Regardless of how it happens, we can find ourselves feeling stuck or in pieces. While there are many wonderful healing practices out there, I believe that therapy is a great way to start understanding how we got to where we are and to begin to grow in new directions, with the hope of living a more vibrant, grounded, and creative life.

Now offering teletherapy sessions in Arizona, Washington & North Carolina. Relationships can be challenging, particularly the ones that are most important to us. We want to feel known, connected and loved but often end up hurt and lonely, stuck in patterns which aren't working. Relational pain can show up as anxiety, fear, depression or grief among other things. I have extensive training in Psychodyamic and Family Systems Therapy. I have also learned directly from masters in the field of Couples Therapy: John & Julie Gottman and Phil Ringstrom to address these very issues.

My approach is tailored to meet your goals and may include helping you solve your problems, develop your strengths, and provide skills to increase your daily life effectiveness. Often, this process involves giving attention to the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences that hinder living a balanced and meaningful life. My deliverance when working with clients is client-centered, collaborative, and non-judgmental.

Many capable, high-functioning adults reach a point where effort no longer brings clarity. Burnout, loss of meaning, vocational confusion, or faith-related disorientation can quietly destabilize an otherwise functional life. I work with adults seeking orientation and clarity during these moments. In addition to insurance-based therapy through Mindful Therapy Group, I offer a limited number of Meaning & Direction Intensives—private, extended consultations designed to provide focused clarity without the constraints of insurance or diagnosis.

Modern relationships are HARD. It’s a struggle to find the right person OR to wonder if your current partner is possibly the wrong person. It’s tough when you feel burned by or totally confused about your path. Maybe you’ve even made choices or overlooked things you now regret. Or, maybe it’s a relationship with a boss or coworkers who undervalue you or play favorites with others. Your work ethic and good ideas have long taken a backseat to putting out fires or just avoiding things way more than you should. You’re past thinking that life’s fair. But, you never thought that things could go THIS wrong or get under your skin THIS much.

I believe that we are relational beings, and that health can be cultivated in intentional, honest, and reciprocal relationships that respect and reveal our inherent dignity. Because relationships with others and ourselves hold great promise and power, they can also be the focus of most of our pain as we move through life. The therapeutic relationship we build together acts as a staging ground and microcosm to help you renew the relationships you have with yourself and others in life.
