I am a licensed therapist in WA State providing virtual telehealth therapy. I work with people to learn skills to manage overall stress, as well as anxiety, panic, depressive, and trauma symptoms and to explore difficult past experiences that may be impacting them, so that they can be more present in their lives, act in ways that match what is important to them, and to start building the life they want to live for themselves.

I use evidence-based treatments including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
My approach to therapy provides a compassionate space where individuals can become more aware of the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. From here they can begin making changes towards greater health. I believe healing and growth occur when we recognize that we are imperfect human beings and begin to meet ourselves with more kindness and acceptance. Another important aspect of change is learning to be with pain and difficulties in a skillful way. This involves changing our relationship to difficult emotions such as anxiety and fear so that we are not run by them.

I integrate trauma-informed, person-centered and relational approaches to psychotherapy, with my professional training in evidence-based treatment methodologies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals.
I help couples and individuals work through experiences of anxiety, stress/burnout, emotional/mood/relational challenges, grief, spirituality/existential/identity issues, life/career transitions. The situation you're in maybe known. Or maybe you just feel stuck? It may also be difficult to share your life experiences and meanings, or finding the right words or being heard may feel distant right now? I'm committed to understanding you—however you find yourself, here & now. I hold both story and silence sacred. Therapy goals vary; validating/understanding, learning about self/other, flexibility & meaning-making are some possibilities.

To support your healing, I incorporate ACT, psychodynamic theories, and mindfulness to meet your unique needs.
As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, grounding, and supportive space where you feel empowered to share your story, process your thoughts and emotions, and reconnect with your true self. I am committed to creating a secure environment where trust, openness, and curiosity guide our work together. By exploring past experiences to identify patterns and themes, drawing upon your inner strengths, and addressing behaviors that may no longer serve you, we can work toward a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can unravel and reconstruct life narratives, paving the way for new and fulfilling paths forward.

I also have training in and utilize components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure Therapy as I believe counseling should be tailored to fit the specific needs and goals of the client.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, holistic, and strengths-based. I believe clients are the experts of their own stories, and my role as a therapist is to create a safe space for individuals to explore intersecting aspects of their identities. Therapy is not about asking “what’s wrong” and instead about building upon existing client strengths in order to create a meaningful and rich life. My toolbox consists of a variety of counseling modalities. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dreamwork and Dream Arts Therapy.

My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from inner child work, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy ( ACT), and mindful self-compassion, while allowing flexibility to tailor therapy to fit each person’s unique needs.
I believe that therapy needs to be a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves and gain a deeper understanding of their struggles. It's important to me that you feel comfortable, supported, and free to be fully yourself in our sessions. I enjoy working with adults and teens looking to explore issues related to anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, intergenerational trauma, attachment and relationships. I’m passionate about helping people understand how their childhood and family of origin (FOO) experiences impact them today and guiding them through their journey of healing and self-discovery.

Using mindful inquiry with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, influenced by Internal Family Systems and Humanistic Psychology, our work is person centered and trauma informed.
Nearly 30 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field has helped me to be able to offer an eclectic approach for each person who walks through the door. When cognitive behavioral therapy is needed for solution focused work, that's what we'll do. When a deep dive into family of origin work is needed, we can make that our focus, using a variety of modalities that speak to the individual.
