I have been a psychotherapist for 30 years. My approach is cogintive behavioral. I typically give clients "homework" to help extend therapeutic evperience and insight into their daily lives. I took Buddhist vows in 1986 and will teach clients basic meditation techniques to facilitate working with patterns of thought and emotion more productively. I use Dialectic Behavior Therapy strategies (often with homework assignments), motivational interviewing, and hypnosis (primarily for addictive behavior and trauma recovery). I work with individuals, couples, and families.
