Taking a client-centered approach, I work to assist individuals, couples and families in reaching the goals that they bring with them to therapy. I believe that trust and compassion are essential to the success of therapy and my role is to facilitate that relationship of trust. I strive to be culturally aware and humble, recognizing that no two people experience life the same way. My goal is to help clients find their strengths and resources in a brief, systemic way. Some of the models that inform my approach include Narrative Family Therapy and Collaborative Therapy.

We will build from your strengths to fit your needs. Cognitive-Behavioral: Thoughts, feelings and behaviors interact; to change one of these it is often helpful to change the others. Family Systems Theory: Family members affect each other; each person is helped with improved family interactions. Solution focused Therapy: Fixing the problem, regardless of the where and when that problem started. Narrative Therapy: Focusing on your strengths so you see yourself as the hero of your healing.

Life can feel exhausting, with the weight of past experiences, future choices, relationships, expectations, work pressures, financial struggles, health issues, and even basic tasks like eating, sleeping, and staying active. Understandably, it can be daunting to face each day. Simply continuing to move forward, despite it all, is an achievement that speaks to your strength and resilience. As your counselor, my intention is to create a safe, supportive space for you to release what feels heavy, process pain, and embrace the complexities of being human. Together, we’ll reconnect with your authentic self, and foster healing, and growth.

You may be standing at a threshold, unsure of what comes next. Maybe you're feeling disconnected—from your partner, your family, or even yourself. Maybe you've spent years shaping yourself to fit others’ expectations, and now you're wondering: What would it mean to choose myself? Therapy can be a space to untangle those old patterns, to grieve what’s been lost or denied, and to begin the work of becoming who you were always meant to be.

I work with women who feel they are at a crossroad in their life. They are feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unhappy. They may feel like it's time for changes at home, in their career or with their family. They may have issues with feeling unworthy or unwanted. They might feel a bit confused or a bit lost. But, they know one thing and that is that they do want to feel better. They want a life with more meaning. They want a loving relationship. They want a career that energizes them. They have hope that things can improve.

With almost 12 years in the field, I serve adults as well as adolescents (ages 13-17), who may be experiencing: depressed mood, anxiety, trauma, grief, crisis in marriage, boundary issues, or LIFE. Additionally, I see first- responders & their families. The primary modality of therapy I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have found this to be highly useful in treating depression, anxiety, certain types of traumas, and other significant life stressors. I also work with clients of faith. I'd be honored to help support you in optimal brain health! There is HOPE.

Emotions and significant life stressors can leave a person feeling stuck or helpless. Finding a safe place to process emotions and address questions of shame, normalcy, and acceptance can be challenging. Without being able to process emotions and trauma, we can get stuck while the emotions stay in our bodies. Processing emotions not only provides mental relief, but can also transform a person’s connectedness to their bodies and relieve some physical manifestations of stressors. I hope to help people find hope which allows space for life to be messy and things to still be okay.

Congratulations! You have taken the first step toward healing by seeking help. It is important that the relationship between you and your therapist is a good fit, based on mutual respect and trust. I use a strength-based and practical approach. I have a sense of humor which seems to help clients feel more comfortable. Therapy's primary focus is on the present with an understanding of the effects of past events on current behaviors and the need to process unresolved issues. "The turmoil of the past is never wholly forgotten, unresolved it seeps through even the strongest foundation."

My two main focuses in therapy are men experiencing life transitions and adolescents needing support with self-esteem and emotional regulation. The men I work with are deep thinkers seeking to clarify their purpose in life while managing the uncertainty that comes with change. With a specific understanding of the tech workplace, I address existential concerns about finding fulfillment in one's career and rediscovering one's sense of self when self-confidence has been shaken. With adolescents, I focus on supporting big feelings and challenges with adjusting to live events such as divorce or loss in the family and school difficulties.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating; it can be a place for genuine and meaningful conversation. I view therapy as a process of making sense of your story and creating the changes you want in your life.

Each of us experiences times in our life when pain, stress, confusion, or despair overwhelms and consumes us, or when we find ourselves stuck in patterns that we can’t seem to escape, desiring change but unable to figure out where to begin. It takes courage to admit our need for help, and even more so, to ask for that help. And yet, this is often where healing begins – when we allow another person to come alongside us, help us to see what we can’t see, and offer a sense of hope when hope is hard to find.
