You may be standing at a threshold, unsure of what comes next. Maybe you're feeling disconnected—from your partner, your family, or even yourself. Maybe you've spent years shaping yourself to fit others’ expectations, and now you're wondering: What would it mean to choose myself? Therapy can be a space to untangle those old patterns, to grieve what’s been lost or denied, and to begin the work of becoming who you were always meant to be.

My ideal clients often feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar relationship or life patterns, or unsure how to trust themselves during seasons of change or stress. Many are deeply empathetic, highly sensitive, and have felt misunderstood or pressured to shrink themselves to fit expectations or environments that weren’t built with them in mind. I work especially well with neurodivergent individuals, couples, and people navigating identity, grief, trauma, and belonging. They want relief from overwhelm, secure relationships with healthy communication, clearer emotional understanding, and greater trust in themselves and their needs.

Would it surprise you to know that nearly every client I have ever worked with has asked me the same question? It's true. "Am I crazy?" I tell them all the same thing: "No. Crazy is a feeling--not a diagnosis. You can feel crazy, act crazy, look crazy, do something crazy--but you cannot BE crazy. Maybe you have been wondering if you are crazy? Or if perhaps you are "losing your mind"? I would like to be the therapist who gets to know you, and helps reassure you that you are not crazy or losing your mind, and to help you feel better in general.

Life is hard; no one said it would be easy. Nothing that has value comes easily. It seems the things that can bring us lasting joy are the things we have to work to achieve. We are all unique in history. Where we come from, which family, which culture, impacted who we are and who we will or have become. Yet, all of us are the same in that we need human interaction. We come into this world seeking others, touch, interaction. We are neither meant to be or have to be completely alone. *(I am an approved WA State Supervisor and am currently taking on LMHCA supervisees).

Each of us experiences times in our life when pain, stress, confusion, or despair overwhelms and consumes us, or when we find ourselves stuck in patterns that we can’t seem to escape, desiring change but unable to figure out where to begin. It takes courage to admit our need for help, and even more so, to ask for that help. And yet, this is often where healing begins – when we allow another person to come alongside us, help us to see what we can’t see, and offer a sense of hope when hope is hard to find.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead the life you want. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

We each have a unique story and it shapes how we interact with ourselves and the world around us. Parts of it can feel liberating and joyous while others trapping and disempowering which impacts how we show up for ourselves and others. By bringing an awareness to both our strengths and our wounds we can heal what feels burdening and create an updated compass to navigating our internal world and our relationships. I would be honored to bear witness to your story and support you.

I believe people are often far more capable than they give themselves credit for. When things feel overwhelming or impossible, I help people gently question those limits and find ways forward that feel doable and aligned with who they are. My work is about noticing strengths, challenging patterns that keep you stuck, and building confidence through steady, supported steps. Sessions are warm and down to earth, with room for honesty, creativity, humor, and real conversation. While sessions are supportive, the goal is not to stay stuck. We work toward forward movement at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

I work with women who feel they are at a crossroad in their life. They are feeling overwhelmed, stressed and unhappy. They may feel like it's time for changes at home, in their career or with their family. They may have issues with feeling unworthy or unwanted. They might feel a bit confused or a bit lost. But, they know one thing and that is that they do want to feel better. They want a life with more meaning. They want a loving relationship. They want a career that energizes them. They have hope that things can improve.

See More Female Therapists FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
