Change, though necessary and unavoidable, is never easy. Though our resistance to change is a normal reaction I believe that these moments of our life can be an opportunity to see ourselves and our world in a new and more inclusive way. It continues to be my great privilege to support my clients through these transitions.

Some of the tools that I often use are Trauma Informed- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT), CBT, Gottman, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Anger Therapy, Marriage Pyramid, Christian Informed, and more.
Everyone needs a listening ear and/or counsel at various times in our life journey. I enjoy working with people of all ages to become healthier mentally, physically and spiritually in order to help reach their goals in life. This may mean challenging destructive thoughts or behaviors, learning new ways to think about yourself, gaining new boundaries, finding healing from past hurt, walking through present though times together - all so that you can become the thriving person that God intended you to be. I care...You are worth it!

I work with men who are tired of feeling stuck, reactive, or disconnected—clients who know something's off but can't name it. People who are ready to learn skills and make real changes. Maybe you go quiet when things get hard. Maybe you lose it over small things. When asked "What are you feeling?" you genuinely don't know. This isn't traditional talk therapy. I give direct feedback. We work on recognizing what's happening inside you in real time, building actual skills—not just insight. You're not broken. Nobody taught you this stuff. Emotional maturity is something you can learn and develop.

What if you could make your life the way you want it to be? Would you like to overcome loneliness, self-doubt, anxiety, fear of failure, hopelessness, relationship difficulties? Many times our discontent in the present is tethered to traumatic events in our past. If you suffered trauma as a child or as an adult, chances are you have adapted and survived but you may not be currently thriving. The deeper the wounding, the more profound the negative impacts can be in your present life. The miracle of therapy offers you the power to rewrite your past and reprogram your future.

Feeling stuck? Do you want some help through transitions of life? Being seen and heard through life's challenges can make all the difference. Many things can trip us up: PTSD, difficult relationships, anxiety, stress, lack of confidence or low self-esteem. You may have been holding it together for a long time and need a break from the chaos that comes from living in our society.

As a therapist, I help clients navigate the process of change in a caring and supportive environment. I believe counseling is an opportunity for healing and growth, for ourselves and our relationships. Throughout our lives we all have experiences that shape who we are and how we view the world. These experiences impact us in both positive and negative ways. Understanding how the past informs our present can empower us to make changes towards a more authentic future.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
