My passion is in connecting clients to their inner process - what is trying to happen - as demonstrated by their symptoms. Once we discover the issue and address it, the symptoms no longer need to be present. This approach is from a type of Jungian psychotherapy called Process Oriented Psychology, which holds as its premise that there is always something right about what is going on in our lives - our process. It also includes a mixture of some Taoism and Buddhism, and can include work with body symptoms, dreams, and relationships. I look forward to talking with you to see how I might help you resolve your personal issues.

Accepting New Clients! For years I wondered why I struggled with focusing, poor memory, high energy, listening, deadlines, or remembering to eat. It was only after I was diagnosed with ADHD before I realized "hey, I am not making this up," or "I am not dumb- I learn differently." Attempts to meet the expectations of a neurotypical society creates a harmful cycle where we feel it is relentless and never ending. Past life experiences can and still haunt us, as society continues to "inform" us of what "normal" looks like. Trying to mask who we are daily is exhausting and painful, and only breeds more pain and internal hurt.

I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, domestic violence, substance use, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Some days we use structured approaches like IFS or cognitive-based strategies, and other days focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to process thoughts and emotions openly. Humans are complex and intricate, and I tailor each session to what is most needed in the moment—whether that’s insight, skill-building, or simply giving space for them to feel heard—so clients can move forward with greater clarity, stability, and self-understanding.

It all starts with listening and exploring your story, what brings you in to therapy. For many it has been a long journey, for others something may have happened just recently which needs to be addressed, it could be dealing with a problematic recurring pattern, or it may be tied to things that happened long ago in the past. I use a person-centered approach, wholly focusing on you the client in the moment, bringing my training and my own best self forward to help you overcome the suffering that brings you to the office. I provide a compassionate, centered space in which to experience learning, growing, and healing.

As a clinical social worker, I enjoy the opportunity to support, collaborate with, and empower individuals seeking to live a life of wellness. I strive to create a supportive atmosphere where you can explore beliefs, values, and life patterns that either help or hinder you in meeting your goals. So often our present thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are driven by our past. By creating awareness you can begin to change your patterns. Together we can work to identify coping skills based on your individual wisdom and strengths to overcome life challenges and help you make steps in a forward direction.

I enjoy helping who are navigating a significant life transition or grappling with questions about identity, purpose, and change. Clients may be in the process of moving from adolescence to adulthood, adjusting to new responsibilities, or re-evaluating long held patterns in relationships and behavior. Often they come to me because life feels uncertain or out of balance. They sense that something needs to shift, but aren't sure where to start.

I aim to cultivate a therapy relationship that merges lived, desired, and present experiences with a long-developed capacity for understanding trauma. Clinicians are all unique. For me, it is an honor to support others living fully integrated lives as a temporary human diary. I am the proud witness of laughter, tears, triumphs, and perhaps (too many, these days) puzzles. But I do enjoy a puzzle, goal-oriented people, and if you don't quite fit into mainstream... you're in the right place.

I am a daughter of immigrants; a daughter of the diaspora; a wounded healer; an intellectual, spiritual, and queer Chingonx. These are a few identities that influence how I interact / experience the world around me, and stories attached to them: past and present. In my therapeutic work, I continue to work towards decolonization of both my healing practices and myself. My healing work is inherited; I come from a lineage of people seeking healing. Professionally, I started healing work with young people as a case manager, advocate, and mental health counselor in 2016.

Hello and welcome. By taking the time to seek counseling, you are taking a crucial step toward wellness. I understand that finding the right fit in counseling is vital to the healing you desire. My approach toward counseling is focused on the person sitting (virtually) in front of me. My goal in establishing a supportive counseling relationship is to create a space where my clients feel safe, heard, seen, respected, and cared for. I believe that effective counseling is a process in which my clients have the space and feel empowered to explore their life experiences in a safe and supportive manner.
