My passion is in connecting clients to their inner process - what is trying to happen - as demonstrated by their symptoms. Once we discover the issue and address it, the symptoms no longer need to be present. This approach is from a type of Jungian psychotherapy called Process Oriented Psychology, which holds as its premise that there is always something right about what is going on in our lives - our process. It also includes a mixture of some Taoism and Buddhism, and can include work with body symptoms, dreams, and relationships. I look forward to talking with you to see how I might help you resolve your personal issues.

Accepting New Clients! For years I wondered why I struggled with focusing, poor memory, high energy, listening, deadlines, or remembering to eat. It was only after I was diagnosed with ADHD before I realized "hey, I am not making this up," or "I am not dumb- I learn differently." Attempts to meet the expectations of a neurotypical society creates a harmful cycle where we feel it is relentless and never ending. Past life experiences can and still haunt us, as society continues to "inform" us of what "normal" looks like. Trying to mask who we are daily is exhausting and painful, and only breeds more pain and internal hurt.

I often work with folks wanting support with eating disorders, their relationship with food or body, or navigating neurodivergence. I especially enjoy supporting people who want to work through past experiences that still feel heavy or continue to affect them today. As an EMDR certified therapist, I walk alongside clients as they process what they’ve been through, build self-compassion, and move toward feeling more at peace in their day to day life.
I have additional training in working with those dealing with dissociation and dissociative disorders. I am also accepting new clients for autism & ADHD assessments.

I have experience working with those in the queer community, those who are neurodivergent, those with chronic illness/pain, and those who are starting to unpack childhood trauma.
“There is no standard normal. Normal is subjective. There are seven billion versions of normal on this planet.” - Matt Haig. So very often, we find ourselves facing the word "should". Who "should" I be, where in life "should" I be, what "should" I be able to do. Whether you are just learning who you are for the first time, or are in a place of transition in your life, the process can be very difficult and can often leave us feeling isolated, alone, misunderstood, and in the need of support.

Many of the people I work with are deep-feeling, intuitive individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, grief, identity shifts, or major life transitions. They’re often seeking healing that feels more meaningful and aligned—not just symptom relief. Our work together is holistic and collaborative, integrating nervous system support, mindfulness, self-trust, and space to explore spirituality, intuition, and personal meaning if those are important to you. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected, authentic, and at ease in your life.

Hello! So, you know those therapists who are calming, soothing, and usually have one of those freaking awesome rock formations with streaming water behind them? Yeah, well... I'm not one of those therapists! First off, I just used the word "freaking" in my intro, and that's when I'm trying to be my most professional self! Secondly, and more importantly, I'm just not into all the head bobbing and "tell me more." I'm more of a "Talk to me... what's going on?" kind of therapist. I will listen, and never judge you. I will laugh (and sometimes cry) with you, and I will use every therapeutic tool at my disposal to help you!

LGBTQ+ Therapists
Do LGBTQ-affirmative therapists receive special training?
Yes. Many therapists who practice LGBTQ-affirmative therapy have completed specialized training, either during their degree program or as continuing education, to learn the core principles of affirmative therapy and how to best support their LGBTQ clients; some have received certifications in LGBTQ-affirmative therapy. Prospective clients should inquire as to a clinician’s background and training to ensure a good fit.
Why might I want to see an LGBTQ-affirming or LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
Queer and gender-non-conforming individuals frequently experience bias and marginalization in day-to-day life. Working with a therapist who understands these unique challenges, as well as accepts and affirms their identity, can help LGBTQ clients feel safe and supported during therapy—allowing them to better navigate their relationships, mental health, and anything else that they wish to explore during therapy. It is important to note that many therapists can be effective in their work with LGBTQ+ individuals, even in the absence of specific training or background knowledge. The most important component in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client, and this alliance can exist between individuals with very different backgrounds.
How can I find an LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
You may wish to inquire about a therapist’s expertise with your specific challenges or concerns—depression, for example, or relationship strife—as well as their past experiences treating LGBTQ+ clients. Prospective clients may also ask whether a therapist has obtained additional training and/or certification in LGBTQ-affirmative techniques.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with LGBTQ issues?
Prospective clients should feel empowered to directly ask therapists whether they have received training or been certified in LGBTQ-affirming therapy; competent therapists will be happy to explain their educational background and preferred approach(es) to help a client find the best match for them. Clients may also wish to ask how a therapist has treated clients with their particular challenges in the past and what they expect treatment to look like.
Are all the therapists listed in the LGBTQ directory themselves members of the LGBTQ community?
While therapists may choose to disclose their sexual orientation or gender identity in their profiles, the LGBTQ directory features not only those who have shared this information but also those who assert specialized training or experience in providing support to queer individuals, couples or families.
