Anger Management Therapists in Pacific County, WA
I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, domestic violence, substance use, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Some days we use structured approaches like IFS or cognitive-based strategies, and other days focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to process thoughts and emotions openly. Humans are complex and intricate, and I tailor each session to what is most needed in the moment—whether that’s insight, skill-building, or simply giving space for them to feel heard—so clients can move forward with greater clarity, stability, and self-understanding.

My specialty is working with anger, anxiety, emotional regulation, and relational conflict using a wide variety of tools.
My clients are self-aware but feel stuck. They may struggle with anxiety, relationship stress, low self-esteem, or pressure from work, school, or family. They want real change, not quick fixes. They are looking for a space that feels safe while also encouraging growth. Their goals drive them to understand their habits, manage their emotions more effectively, communicate clearly, and build healthier relationships. They are seeking the comfort of a confidant; someone who will help carry that weight, and maybe have a few laughs along the way. Ultimately, they are ready to break old cycles and create something different.

My ideal client is someone who has faced deep emotional wounds—whether from trauma, unstable relationships, systemic challenges, or inner battles with anxiety, depression, or self-worth. They might feel stuck in cycles of survival, constantly reacting rather than living with intention. They often crave connection, stability, and a sense of peace, but struggle with how to get there.
What they truly want is healing—not just to "feel better," but to understand themselves, to break patterns, and to feel empowered in their choices. They are seeking clarity, confidence, and the ability to show up more fully in their relationships.

Many of us move through life functioning from a place of urgency — managing careers, families, and responsibilities — while quietly carrying the effects of chronic stress and unresolved emotional pain. Over time, these patterns can lead to chronic fatigue/illness, emotional overwhelm, and disconnection from our interests and personal needs. We survive rather than fully living. I offer a nervous system-informed, somatic approach that gently helps you reconnect with your body and internal wisdom.

Relationships are key to the individual human experience. I believe that it is no coincidence that when we find ourselves struggling in relationships, it has a profound effect on our individual emotional well being, just as experiencing a challenging life event can lead to difficulties in our close relationships. My practice specializes in therapy for individuals, couples, and families who are seeking to strengthen their current relationships following recent conflict, a difficult life event, individual or family trauma, or any other disruptive experiences. I am also currently accepting therapist trainees (post graduate) in need of clinical supervision.

I am passionate about coming alongside the first responder community (police, firefighters, EMS, dispatch) and helping them develop the mental health tools they need to not only survive, but thrive. From the stress of service calls, shift-work, and organizational politics, too many first responders come out on the other end of their service worse for the wear. Being former law enforcement, I personally experienced and witnessed this impact, and I became passionate about becoming a part of the solution by offering culturally competent mental health counseling.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
