Clients may be in the process of moving from adolescence to adulthood, adjusting to new responsibilities, or re-evaluating long held patterns in relationships and behavior.
I will start by getting to know about you and your needs, we can then develop a specific, flexible, and doable treatment plan that reflects your individuality and goals. I like to create a friendly non judgmental environment that approaches your concern with gentle and effective curiosity where we can discover abilities you didn't know you had.

I have been in private practice, treating teens and adults, since 2024.
Welcome. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to connect with others or yourself, you’re not alone. I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface. My approach is relational, person-centered, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. Together, we’ll work to understand your experiences, build self-trust, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and aligned with who you are. It's important to me to make therapy as accessible as possible, so I do offer a sliding scale fee structure for those paying out of pocket.

You may be feeling disconnected in your relationship, misunderstood by those you love, or unsure how to express what’s really going on inside. Maybe communication feels like conflict, or you’ve lost sight of your own strengths amid stress and change. You long for understanding, healing, and a deeper sense of connection—with yourself and others—but need guidance and support to rebuild trust and rediscover hope.

In therapy, I support my clients with navigating; self-esteem/self-worth, limiting beliefs, grief, interpersonal struggles, relational disconnect, identity exploration, developmental & systemic trauma, coping strategies, communication struggles, suicidal ideation, family system dynamics, nervous system dysregulation, attachment schemas, and shame. I approach therapy as a co-explorer; working with my clients to access their internal compass, identify personal values that move them through the world, and uncover inner resources they are already equipped with that can provide healing in relationship to them-self and others.

People come to me usually for one of two reasons: (1) things are going well but they want to grow and evolve, (2) things are hard because of a past traumatic experience or a current situation, and healing and change is needed. Symptoms often include anxiety, depression, issues related to trauma, anger, grief and relationship issues. I work from a depth psychological perspective which means that I address the cause of symptoms as much as the symptoms themselves.

Sometimes we just need someone who will listen. Clients that do well with me are hoping to change and are willing to try something new. The same is true for children who do well.Trust your gut. Research shows that when the client feels "good" about the counselor, that feeling is a strong indicators that a counselor will be helpful for the client. I do my best to honor the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek help.

Waitlist for new clients
Not accepting new clients at this time. Please check back. EMDR is a brain-rewiring psychotherapy that can help you shed negative beliefs about yourself. If you have been through trauma or abuse, you may feel you are unworthy or you may feel generally unsafe in the world. Depression, anxiety and panic may plague you. If you've talked about it in circles but nothing has changed, it may be time to try EMDR. Clients tell me they can't believe how much better they feel after their EMDR treatments have completed. They report doing things they never thought they could do.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: the stories we live by shape the lives we lead. The stories we tell ourselves. That we tell others. The stories that influence how we think, communicate, and act - often without us ever stopping to question where they came from or whether they still serve us. My work helps people slow down long enough to recognize those stories, understand what’s shaping them, and choose how they want to move forward. I don’t believe therapy is about fixing what’s broken. Therapy is about reauthoring your story: restoring alignment between who you are, what you value, and how you show up in your life.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
