Our team is ready to guide you and your family as you meet and overcome these challenges. We come to you with a breadth of experience and expertise. We use a blend of therapeutic approaches to meet your needs. We currently offer appointments Monday through Saturday. Clinician schedules accommodate appointments between 9:00am and 8:00pm depending on the clinician and the day.

Through counseling, it is my hope that you or your
child
gains an understanding of coping skills that work best during tough times, how to make sense of lived experience in an empowering way, and that clients can grow in awareness/acceptance of their own unique self.
While I primarily work with 8-14 year old's and young adults, we all experience life transitions that can feel confusing, vulnerable, & overwhelming. I am passionate about supporting anyone who is looking to reflect, find meaning, and grow in their ability to cope with the ever changing waters of life. Through play, art, mindfulness, identity development, humor, & emotional awareness I seek to help you/your
child
connect deeper to self and others, find resiliency and joy, while incorporating a wide variety of tangible coping skills.

We are living in some challenging times. If you’re struggling, that means you’re human. Know that asking for help is a strength. My therapy is collaborative in nature. I treat a range of difficulties using a variety of techniques. I work from an attachment perspective that is emotionally focused. I believe therapy involves the presence of your entire being (mind/body/spirit). Ultimately, I believe human connection is one of the most important healing tools. Thus, I create a safe therapeutic environment where growth and discovery can flourish. I bring my full self to my work – my optimism, my directness, my persistence, my humor.

Sometimes we need support with what has happened, what is happening in our lives now, or the uncertainty of what the future holds. Maybe you feeling deeply out of alignment with yourself, partners,
children
, or community. Our relationships to ourselves and each other is dynamic and can get messy. We find ourselves responding, feeling, and living in ways that don't serve us or the ones we love.

Is your
child
hurting? It can be hard to see when a
child
is hurting because they ask for help by acting out, withdrawing from family, or by fighting with peers.
Bringing your
child
into counseling can be an unnerving idea. All parents/caregivers want the best for their
child
, they want them to feel confident, joyful, playful, and most importantly to heal. And let's be real, they also want things to be going better at home or at school! But they're often not sure how to get started. I use a relational neuroscience approach to help parents/caregivers help their
children
.

Returning to our

-like nature, eco-art therapy is deep, powerful and meaningful play that can change your life.
I am passionate about helping clients heal and transform through an eco-art therapeutic approach that combines art, nature and play. Working and playing in a natural setting, I offer a variety of mediums to encourage growth, both indoors and out. This allows an emergent and imaginative approach to therapy that adapts to fit the unique needs of each individual, couple, family and group. Moving from sand tray to clay, collage to art journaling, clients can walk outdoors on paths that meander past waterways and through old growth forests. With labyrinths, meditative walks and an enormous sound chamber, I offer many creative outlets.

I am a
Child
Mental Health Specialist (CMHS), and work very effectively with youth and teens.
We often go to counseling when we are seeking something; whether it be healing, insight, peace within ourselves, healthy relationships, or a sense of wholeness in our lives and selves. Anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, experiences from our past, relationship struggles, and other emotional challenges may get in the way of our ability to find that which we seek. Identifying, understanding, and healing from that pain can help us to achieve an increased sense of contentment and peace within our lives, and increased ability to manage events and relationships that can often be difficult.

Child Therapists
Do I need to attend therapy with my child?
Parents are an integral part of a child’s therapy, but the specifics of their involvement vary. If your child is young, you may attend most or all sessions; if your child is older, you may attend a few sessions or none; sometimes a therapist may ask you to have a session on your own. Whatever the arrangement, you should expect to work collaboratively with the therapist, your child, and your family members to take steps to help support your child.
How long are sessions with child therapists?
Children’s therapy sessions can last 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. The length of the session may depend on your child’s age and the type of therapy practiced. You can discuss this with therapists you consult and the one you ultimately move forward with.
How do I get a child to agree to seek therapy?
The best approach is to have an open-ended conversation with your child about how they’re doing and what they might be struggling with. When you raise therapy, discuss the concept in an age-appropriate way, for example explaining that a therapist’s job is to help kids handle their hard or uncomfortable feelings. Frame therapy positively, as an opportunity to explore and build emotional skills—it’s an important tool in the toolbox to help kids feel their best.
How can I tell if a therapist is a good fit for my child?
A child needs to feel comfortable opening up about their thoughts and feelings, so if your child feels a sense of comfort, ease, and trust with their therapist, that’s a great sign. In addition, a therapist is a good fit for your child if the two can communicate well together; a clinician should be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner.
