I offer real actionable solutions to the most difficult of situations, such as deep trauma, unhealthy family dynamics, and regressive and unhealthy coping behaviors. Many of us walk around feeling angry, unfocused or withdraw into sadness, despair, and hopelessness. This is reactive stress or attachment challenges. Unfortunately, the mental health field often uses diagnoses to label behavior when really what is needed is counseling around attachment styles and various coping skills. You are not your diagnosis, and my therapeutic process includes removing or reducing stress and establishing a healthy, constructive coping strategy.

I guide big-feeling high achievers to make sensitivity their biggest advantage, so they transform their lives and the world without emotional overwhelm. Despite being eager about their growth, empathetic, and having a dry (alright, dark) sense of humor, when my clients come to me, they're stuck. While therapy helped to a certain extent, they’ve hit a plateau. The insights they gained in therapy aren’t solving their real-life problems. They aren’t the confident person they want to be. Their relationships are in a fragile state. They’re missing out on professional opportunities.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for an Olympia ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Olympia.
