When working with children, teens, families, and adults, I strive to help them achieve their current goals. I offer psychoeducation, insight, and interventions with a client-centered approach. In other words, I meet my clients where they are in their life and work with them at their own pace. Specifically, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-injurious behaviors, suicidality, behavioral/ communication issues, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.
I have training in Therapeutic Collaborative Assessment & perceive psychological evaluations to be a therapeutic intervention. I tailor each evaluation to the individual & the presenting issues. Specifically, I can assess for learning disorders, ADHD, executive functioning, emotional functioning & trauma. I'm NOT able to assess for Autism Spectrum disorders.
My goal is to offer and provide a welcoming, safe, and comfortable space for all of my clients. I encourage feedback and collaboration in our work together. When working with children, I collaborate with parents & caregivers to support the entire family unit whereas with teens, I tend to collaborate when indicated & with the client's consent.
