I hold certification in Clinical Social Work, Substance Abuse and Addiction, and Trauma Responsive Therapy.
You’re doing your best, but some days feel like too much. Maybe anxiety keeps you on edge, you're feeling down and disconnected, or just exhausted from holding it all together. Maybe your thoughts feel overwhelming, your relationships are strained, or you're constantly second-guessing yourself. You might be tired of repeating old patterns that started long ago. If you’ve experienced childhood trauma, or you’re navigating anxiety or depression that just won’t let up, it makes sense that life feels harder than it should. I offer virtual therapy in Washington and Oregon, including Seattle, Portland, Eugene, and Spokane.

I specialize in interpersonal violence, workplace violence, being BIPOC, and the impact of being a first responder and healthcare worker on the individual's wellbeing.
You keep asking yourself, Why can’t I just let it go? You’ve tried to move on. You’ve buried the memories, pushed through the pain, told yourself it wasn’t that bad. But it still shows up—in your body, in your relationships, in those moments when you feel anxious, frozen, or overwhelmed. You’ve been told to forgive, to forget, to be strong—but deep down, you don’t feel safe. Maybe part of you still believes it was your fault. The truth is, you don’t need to ‘get over it.’ You need space to heal. Safely. Gently. In your own time. That’s where trauma therapy begins in IA (50067), WA (98520, 99166, 98841) & WI (54154, 54456, 54521).

Has life been really hard on you lately? Have you been here multiple times looking up counselors trying to decide if now’s the time to finally reach out for help? Has things become so overwhelming that life just seems like too much to handle anymore? If you say, “how the hell did I get here?” multiple times a day, you’re in the right place. “I think I need help” is the scariest sentence to say, but when you do, I promise it’s the most freeing feeling imaginable. You feel this way now, but you don’t have to stay in pain forever. Asking for help is the first step in healing. Take that first step now.

You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or stuck—like you need change but nothing you've tried has worked so far. You’re overthinking, feeling stuck, struggling to focus, and running on empty. Maybe you’re facing a divorce, major life change, or relationship stress. From the outside you might look “fine,” but inside you feel disconnected, irritable, lost, or scared. You’re tired of pushing through and wondering why you still feel this way, even when you're self aware and doing your best to cope. You want clarity, calm, and real support to help you feel like yourself again.

Life can be hard but you don't have to struggle alone. Whether you are dealing with past hurts, caught up with worries about the future, or struggling with the day to day, we can find your unique path to a better tomorrow. Trauma can affect us in all of these ways. Sometimes it is obviously trauma and sometimes it madquerades as depression or anxiety. However your struggles are presenting, I can help you find your path to healing, hope, and even uncover some joy along the way. It would be a priviledge to walk with you on your healing path.

I enjoy working with folks who have a history of "people pleasing" and who have experienced emotional abuse.
I have a broad range of experience working with folks from many different walks of life. What I can help you with is finding a way to feel at peace, and guide you towards feeling stronger and more centered. We will do this by processing your lived experiences, how this has impacted you and by implementing new ways of being and thinking.

These diverse domestic and global roles allow me to meet you with deep nuance and clinical expertise.
You have spent years molding yourself into what society, family, or your career expects, and now you are ready to reconnect with the woman you actually are. Perhaps perfectionism and anxiety have become constant companions, or the weight of professional burnout and complex identity—as a first-gen daughter or partner in an interfaith family—feels increasingly heavy. You are looking for more than just coping skills; you want to understand how your past influences your present. Your goal is to reclaim a sense of self-worth, heal the roots of your trauma, and finally move through the world with authenticity.

Trusting yourself feels harder than it used to — harder than you think it should. You’re here because your sense of self-trust feels shaken — you want to strengthen it in your relationships, your decisions, and your inner life. You understand why certain patterns exist, while your ways of relating and your body haven’t caught up to that information. You might feel hyper-alert, doubt your instincts and struggle to feel grounded. Some women come to me in the midst of betrayal trauma or relational harm. Others are in growth-oriented partnerships and want support showing up more fully, clearly, and authentically.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
