My practice is rooted in creating a safe space for healing and growth. I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach for trauma processing that reduces the emotional intensity of past experiences, fostering clarity and peace. My work is also informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps individuals heal wounded parts of themselves and deepen self-understanding. In addition, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and creative methods such as art therapy to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs.

For all of us, life becomes painful and overwhelming at times. To step into therapy takes courage, and it is a difficult journey to take alone. The counseling relationship is a partnership in which the seeking of understanding of the issues, and the undertaking of a path to health, is the goal. Problems manifest in anxiety, depression, or other stress-related issues, particularly difficulty enjoying life. ALL are attempts to cope with these problems, and the partnership requires trust and mutual respect. Meeting an experienced and compassionate professional who can best address these issues is the first step toward resolution.

Moving from Taiwan to the U.S. with 10+ years of practice in helping professional, I’ve learned that in a shifting world, healing begins when we find a place to settle within ourselves. My clients often carry the invisible weight of the Asian immigrant journey—navigating traumas, family expectations, and the exhaustion of parenting without a village or tech-industry burnout. Whether you face cross-cultural isolation, "what's next" pressure, or relationship issue, you don’t have to carry this alone. I invite you into a space where you can be yourself. Together, we turn life’s challenges and strains into a foundation of resilience.

We all have a wise center, a voice that is uniquely ours. Sometimes our own voice gets lost in the needs and wants of others, or feels at odds with what culture, partners, social media, or upbringing may dictate. I view my role as a curious fellow explorer to assist in understanding your personal dynamic and the connections that sustain your current way of being. Let's rediscover your wise center-the part that hears your own voice, the part that recognizes your own power, the part that has the courage to create the changes that make the life you live feel more authentic.

Therapy can be such a gift to oneself. A moment to pause and reflect amidst everyday life. A safe space to release emotion and work through old wounds. A place to explore areas of growth and build new habits. I believe that each person holds the answers for themselves, inside themselves but we often get lost in the clutter. I offer a supportive and compassionate space for you to sort through that clutter and let go of what no longer serves you in or for you to live as your most authentic self. "Tell Me, What Is It You Plan To Do With Your One Wild And Precious Life" -Mary Oliver.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
