You might be looking for someone a little different from past therapists you have worked with, or maybe youre looking to try therapy for the first time and are worried you might end up with someone judgy or who doesnt understand who you are and how your life works. Maybe you feel stuck, out of control, or you just want to know why the hell you keep ending up in this same place AGAIN. Maybe youre confused by past experiences, diagnoses, or youre not even sure emotions are worth your time but wonder if there is a better life waiting for you.

I pursued my Perinatal Mental Health Credential to help parents cope with that transition.
Life does not always turn out the way you think it will. We make plans but there are many paths in life and many unknowns. If your path seems hard right now, or you are not sure which way to turn, or you feel all alone and in the dark, I can help you find the path that makes sense for you and your values. Whether you have problems with relationships, anxiety, depression, or a phase of life, your path will look different from others' but it can still be bright and beautiful. Focusing on your goals for your life and finding the way there takes some time, but it is worth it for yourself, those who love you, and your future.

We all face challenges as we seek to grow and thrive in our life and relationships. When people are experiencing conflict, wounds, losses, or find themselves stuck in a particular life transition, therapy helps navigate these challenges. Wounds and losses in life often lead to relational difficulties and low self-esteem. Therapy can assist in the grieving process leading to resolution and peace. New ways of relating can be identified and practiced leading to healthier and more satisfying relationships.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about getting to the heart of the challenge(s) my clients face. I desire to work with my clients in discovering who they are by working through the issue(s) they face and achieve their desired goal(s). I believe wholeheartedly in finding the beauty within that makes one uniquely who they are. There is no absolute way to achieve that, however; my role is to offer a judgment free safe space for my clients that allows for transparency in all aspects of their life to allow for hope to eliminate the feelings of being stuck and overwhelmed. I work with individuals, couples, and families

My practice is built on the belief that everyone carries the capacity for change, sometimes, we just need guidance and support to rediscover it. I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for each person’s story. Over the years, my work has centered on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and life transitions. As a therapist, I view mental health not simply as the absence of illness but as a vital, whole-person pursuit that touches emotional, physical, spiritual, and social wellbeing. My approach integrates evidence-based interventions catered to individual needs.

I have expanded my learning in ADHD/ Autism and chronic pain based on the growing need and intersectionality. I love working with women through the reproductive lifespan, expectant and new mothers.

I work with adults navigating ADHD, life transitions, and pregnancy, perinatal, and postpartum experiences using a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
At this point in your life, you may feel mentally overextended—carrying too many threads at once while also feeling overstimulated or depleted by the pace of daily life. You might know what you want to change, yet feel unsure where to begin, especially when urgency and exhaustion coexist. Therapy can be a place to slow things down, make sense of the noise, and find steadier footing without pressure to push through or perform. For many neurodivergent people, life feels like a constant pull between needing something solid to hold onto and needing space to move with change. Tether & Tide Counseling is built around holding both.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviors. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.

Are there specific medications for postpartum depression?
In 2019, the FDA approved the first medication designed to treat postpartum depression. The medication is called brexanolone and is delivered intravenously by a medical professional over the course of a few days. However, typical antidepressants, which are more accessible, can also treat postpartum depression. The disorder is often best treated through a combination of medication and therapy.
