**Currently accepting new clients.** **Stress from politics.** I offer a safe space for you to talk about the things that are most important to you. Therapy is a place for you to figure out problems, vent, be vulnerable, bring your questions, and learn. I help people who feel stuck, conflicted, unsupported, lost, or overwhelmed. I work with couples, adults, and teens. From a foundation of examining and working with feelings, I help people with problems including grief, stress about the world, anxiety, depression, shame, relationships, communication skills, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

A DYNAMIC APPROACH TO INNER CHANGE - By combining conventional therapy with different modalities of working with the subconscious, I offer resources to those situations where you have previously done therapy without feeling much movement or change. Because the subconscious is in control 95% of the time, I offer a different approach to work through issues much faster. I do not believe it needs to take a long time to heal if given the right resources. If you desire change and create a more peaceful life, call and we can set up a consultation at no charge or obligation.

My clients often feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, have high expectations, and don’t want to burden others. As a result, they sometimes have a hard time not only accepting help but asking for help too. I specialize in stress management, anxiety, moderate/mild depression and relationships. I do a lot of work around negative self talk, self-esteem/worth, assertiveness, self care and boundary setting. For individuals, I start by completing a biopsychosocial assessment, so I can learn about you on multiple levels and better understand your subjective experience. We then move on to setting treatment goals and begin therapy.

I treat those who are experiencing life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, anger, conflicts, doubt, and a wide variety of other problems and concerns.
I believe therapy is about development and progression. Therapy can often be a challenging process. Recognizing that change can be hard at times, I strive to provide a safe, confidential, and comfortable atmosphere. I work hard to balance a client's desire to change and the need for support and stability, by providing a challenging yet nurturing environment. My goals are to help people increase their understanding and awareness of their own influences in their lives, to help clients develop the best relationships possible and reach a better understanding for positive and lasting change.

[Ideally, please click "Website" tab and use our Contact Form.] My practice is focused on individual adults age 21 and older. I work with the queer community, transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, the ethically non-monogamous and the kink community, substance use issues, those struggling to manage depression or anxiety, and clients whose issues stem from PTSD, trauma, or grief. Giving witness and presence to pain helps facilitate a space in which people can heal. I am HAES (Health At Every Size) informed. I believe we all have what we need within us - we just need those qualities recognized, called forth, and polished.

Sometimes life shows up and we find ourselves in need of support, someplace where we can get grounded and find some perspective. My work is client-centered, working with what the individual brings to the session without a predetermined outcome. I take a holistic approach, understanding that we are the sum of a multitude of factors including our environment, experiences, culture, faith, core beliefs, and values. I do not pathologize, meaning you’re not defined by your diagnosis. Instead, I emphasize your own inherent health, guiding you to develop and achieve skills to improve the quality of your life.

Growing up is hard and it’s completely normal to need a little help along the way. I believe that addressing mental health and behavioral concerns at a young age can help kids to prosper and grow into healthy adults. I offer kids and teens a safe place to express themselves, process whatever it is they are experiencing in their world, and someone who will listen without any judgements or biases. My focus is to teach kids and teens skills they can use to cope with their symptoms and be successful in whatever they choose to do. I also help parents learn skills to improve communication and their relationship with their kid/teen.

We all have the capacity to heal, grow, and change but often feel stuck, trapped, or frozen in place. I understand the importance of a safe, collaborative environment and meet each client with dignity, compassion, and a deep respect for your lived experience. You are unique, and the path to your goals should be, too! Using holistic and evidence-based approaches, I draw from mindfulness, EMDR therapy, and cognitive-behavioral techniques to assist you in creating a plan specific to your needs and values. Most importantly, we will work together to equip you with the insight and skills needed to make meaningful changes that last.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
