My practice comes from a trauma-informed lens and I greatly value
somatic
and inner mind-body connection work which is incorporated through talk therapy and Lifespan Integration.
Life is meant to be lived fully, but often there are circumstances that get in the way of our ability to engage at the level that we want to. Whether that is a trauma or loss or a major life stressor that has made life seem unbearable, you can receive help and there is hope of moving forward and living life to the fullness of your potential. My counseling practice stems from the belief that each and every human has value and deserves to be seen and heard, regardless of age, background, or status. I work with individual adults and adolescents employing trauma-informed care on your path to recovery from life’s difficulties.

I then utilize EMDR and
somatic
techniques to help heal past traumas and assist with long-term mental, emotional, and physical relief.
Do you feel like past experiences continue to impact your daily life (ie. relationships with others, relationship with yourself, etc.)? Would you like to feel more at peace with your past and grounded in the present? Our past experiences form the foundations for the ways in which we think, feel, move, relate, cope, and operate throughout our lives. Talk/skills-based therapies are helpful in building awareness and stabilization, and body-oriented approaches are useful in processing past traumas because these are often stored physically in our bodies.

I am also certified in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT), which addresses distress in couples and helps them to create a secure bond; and in the Hakomi Method, which studies how we organize internal experience. I am also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, which combines cognitive, emotional and
somatic
interventions.

Recovery is for everyone. Certain seasons (or years) can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, and fearful. Life can be devastatingly full of loss with little hope of recovery at all. I believe in order to experience healing and walk in recovery, it requires a willingness to confront the darker parts of life. Yet it also requires acknowledging our unique strengths and resources- those things that keep us going. Are you open to exploring your own road of recovery?

approach with both populations, leveraging the intelligence of the mind, body, and soul to inform inner healing.
Hi, I’m Linden, I work with clients who have used or are using psychedelics or ketamine for healing purposes and are looking for a therapist/guide to help with integration. The world of psychedelics can be a challenging one to navigate and I am experienced with the integration of journies and knowledgeable as to how to use these tools to create life-changing transformations. I am currently getting certified by the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in ketamine integration therapy and I am passionate about the efficacy of responsible and ethical use of these tools in the realm of mental health.

We will use gentle
somatic
approaches that allow us to get beneath the words in order to focus on actions and felt experiences that lead to transformative healing work.
I help survivors of trauma and difficult childhoods cultivate a calm, congruent life. Survivors may feel emotions that seem out of place in the present moment, experiencing anxiety, depression or shame, have unusual medical issues, or perhaps trouble remembering past events. Difficulty in relationships, low self-esteem, attention issues, and problems trusting are common. If this sounds like your experience, please know it is possible to both release and integrate your past for a more fulfilled present.

I approach therapy from a trauma-informed perspective and incorporate
somatic
and mind-body techniques to create a grounded approach, based in research and cultural-sensitivity.
Creating compassion and understanding for yourself is different than making excuses for your behavior. When we are able to understand how our backgrounds and experiences influence the way we relate to the world around us, we are able to become more intentional in our relationship with ourselves and with others. Together we can explore how to best support you in living a life guided by your values and deepen your understanding of your identities.

I work with high performers who still struggle with feeling like they aren't good enough. There is a lingering low self-esteem that doesn't seem to make sense or go away, no matter what your life looks like. You may also struggle with relationships, attracting unhealthy partners or people who disrespect you. I help individuals uncover the deep stories that drive their lives so they actually have the freedom to live in the reality of today, rather than the painful stories that are buried in the mind. I am also a Washington State approved Supervisor for LMHCA's seeking licensure.

Therapy is a challenging process of self-discovery. It requires curiosity, honesty, vulnerability, persistence and courage. In this process I am looking to partner with individuals who are tired of feeling unsuccessful and out of place in their own life and who are ready to commit to their own healing. I am fully bi-lingual/bi-cultural, and bring to my practice the wealth and flavor of 25 years of many modalities and experience, working with people from around the world.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
