I believe in order to have a full, rich, deep
relationship
with anyone else, you must first start with yourself.
Now accepting new online clients! I love working with those who have lost their way and want to create the best versions of themselves! I see you. I’ve been there too—exhausted, tired, and just plain overwhelmed despite loving your work and family. Your relationships may also be suffering from your blahness! Until I learned that being successful and chasing your dreams doesn’t require choosing one or the other, you can have both. There’s another way…let me show you how. I help people Heal their Hustle by understanding “Who are you? Where are you going? And How are you going to get there?” I would love to help you too.

conflicts, Sexual, Emotional and Physical Trauma, Workplace trauma.
Dr. Lintin understands how stepping into your truth may be frightening. There is no right way to uncover emotions that may be blocking you from living a fulfilled life. Everyone has stories to tell, unique, inspiring, challenging and sometimes devastating. The shocking thing is that many people walk through life without ever sharing these life events and so often with trauma, the guilt and shame can stop you from telling anyone causing difficulties in your relationships with others in both personal and professional life.

Sometimes that path leads toward a deeper
relationship
with our current
partner
, sometimes it leads to goodbye.
Relationships are what bring us joy in our lives, but sometimes despite our best efforts we come upon a stumbling block. We find ourselves struggling or unable to connect to those we love and sometimes even to ourselves. Maybe issues from past relationships get in the way, maybe there is a trauma to the
relationship
(such as illness, job loss, or simply entering a new stage of life such as parenthood or midlife). There may have been an infidelity, loss of job, or emotional issues such as depression / anxiety. Often we just feel a lack of connection we once had.

Therapy is healing because of the
relationship
we cultivate.
Do you feel like life is so overwhelming that it’s hard to focus? Do you feel like sometimes your only option is to hide or leave this life? Depression and or anxiety win most of the time? I get that. Your feelings matter. You matter. I work with several individuals whom struggle with these overwhelming emotions, together we can find desires of life, set goals, and figure out what matters to you individually.

I enjoy working with teens, adults,
couples
and families, and I believe in the healing power of relationships: no matter the wounds, if all parties are willing to heal, I will help. In today’s changing environment, we are often disconnected and fragmented; this can be seen and felt on both micro and macro levels, contributing to high levels of stress and anxiety. I am fiercely committed to restoring essential connections in our relationships with one another, our environment and mother earth. One of my primary goals is helping others achieve optimal performance in personal, relational, and professional areas of one’s life.

My focus in the therapeutic
relationship
is to work along side someone who wants to examine the many parts of their life in every aspect from their thoughts, feelings, family dynamics, current relationships, and where they would like to be headed. We often find ourselves attached to one identity in an attempt to preserve the expectations of others, losing sight of the other complexities that make up our whole self. With deep desires to meet the needs of others, whether family, school, work, or in relationships, we forget to establish and nourish our own needs.

Research has shown that the best predictor of success in counseling is the
relationship
between counselor and client.
Many individuals may see you as the person that has it all together, but on the inside you feel very different. The emotional disregulation you are experiencing is becoming to much. You are your own worst critic and feel defeated in life. Feeling lonely and isolated even when around others. No one knows or understands the perpetual anxiety and depression that continues during your daily living. Your loosing sleep because of the racing thoughts that just won't leave. Going through life constantly thinking that there is something wrong with you is leading to destructive and suicidal thoughts. Your at the point of giving up.

I have training in the integration of spirituality and faith with counseling and am at ease with talking about spiritual beliefs with those who wish to make this a part of their therapy. I offer a caring presence and a touch of grace during a difficult time on your journey.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
