Making changes can be one of the most difficult things in our lives, especially when they affect people we care about. I hope to encourage the process of change by helping clients make difficult choices and learn to identify and speak their truths aloud. My ideal client is close to being ready to take action and needs some moments of support in those final moments. Being queer and neurodivergent myself, I have lived and professional experience to identify pressures you're facing, create realistic goals, and find ways to move forward to make it happen. I specialize in helping people who are ready to make changes get it done.

Accepting new clients and most insurances, now including Kaiser (in-network). Offering telehealth and in-person. Are you struggling with major changes? Change can challenge our sense of who we are and where we ended up. After years of struggle and pain, how did everyone else matter and not you? They say that change is the only constant, but for most, change sweeps into our lives creating crisis, relationship problems, grief, loss, trauma, depression or anxiety. Do the same hurdles keep stopping you from getting on with the life you always imagined?

Our mind-body connection is extremely powerful. When we are stressed, we might experience bodily discomfort and/or mental health concerns that cause difficulty functioning in everyday life. This is completely normal! I encourage you to close your eyes and listen for two to three minutes. Do you hear that little voice in your head? It takes awareness and practice to navigate that little voice, that speaks to us 24/7, for it to be an asset in our healing, growth, and self-regulation.

My passion lies in working with both youth and adults alike and believe that counseling offers an opportunity to reflect on the current challenges that you may be experiencing in life, and working together with you on moving forward. In particular I have a heart and passion for working with youth and young adults of color. I believe that racial identity is linked to every aspect of daily lives for people of color and often leads to ongoing symptoms of stress and anxiety. I love working with individuals of all races and ethnicities, including folks who identify as children of immigrants.

Accepting individual, couple, and family clients in-person and via telehealth at Attuned Relationship Center, a group practice in West Seattle. Many of the individuals, couples, and families I work with feel overwhelmed by societal pressure, cultural expectations, and relationship stress. You may be experiencing anxiety, emotional disconnection, or a sense of being stuck during a life transition. For many, these struggles stem from intergenerational patterns, identity shifts, or communication challenges that leave you feeling unheard or uncertain about how to move forward but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I have Cognitive Behavior Therapy ( insomnia); Abusive Narcists; Geriatric crisis in facilities; Ketamine and MDA medical treatments; Internal Family Systems (just to name a few);
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained, you’re not alone—and support is available. Many people I work with are managing anxiety, depression, or struggling with self-esteem while trying to keep everything together. Therapy can be a place to pause, feel understood, and begin making sense of what’s weighing on you. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start—you just need a space where you can show up as you are.

The world we live in is an ever changing and fast paced place that can often times add complexities to our lives, our relationships, our internal thoughts and emotions that we didn’t anticipate or were not ready for. In these times it can be helpful to seek therapy to have someone support your growth into the person you want to be in a respectful, empathetic, and judgment-free environment.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
