I see clients in office however for parents, I can offer telehealth sessions.
Childhood is a sacred time yet our children are facing many challenges and choices as they try to navigate growing into the best and healthiest version of themselves. I provide support and a safe place for parents to be real about their hopes and fears and work with children in a way that celebrates their strengths. In our sessions together I will bring over 27 yrs of experience as a counselor serving children and families (outpatient & in schools) and 25 yrs of learning and personal growth raising two children. I have hand-picked each item in my play/art therapy office to help meet the needs of my clients.

I understand the unique challenges that can come with exploring identity, navigating relationships, and finding your place in a world that doesn’t always make space for difference. In our work together, we explore how your attachment patterns and lived experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others. We make space for every part of you, even the ones that feel the most difficult or vulnerable. Throughout it all, you are met with compassion, curiosity, and a steady belief in your capacity to grow, heal, and relate to yourself and others in new ways.

I offer in person and virtual sessions 5 days a week and a free 15-min phone consultation.
“We are told to ‘stop and smell the roses’… but what happens when we do not know what a rose is? What happens when we forget what a rose looks like, or when we have only known the pain of its thorns? How can gratitude feel possible when everything around us seems dead or hurting?” If this resonates with you, you are not alone. Life can feel painful, overwhelming, confusing, and isolating at times. Sometimes we need trusted support beside us—someone to offer a fresh perspective, help us recognize the “rose bushes” in our lives, & learn how to garden, water, & care for the parts of ourselves that feel neglected, exhausted, or stuck.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, whether from anxiety, relationship struggles, parenting challenges, disordered eating, or carrying the weight of past trauma and loss. You may long for balance, but find it hard to quiet your mind or reconnect with what matters most. My clients often want to feel grounded, restore hope, and live in alignment with their values, yet aren’t sure how to get there. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and healing is possible.

I offer therapy sessions in-person or online video zoom.
My number one goal as a therapist is to show up with you as you are, and understand you there before moving in any one direction. Building a rapport established in trust, common understanding, and compassion is key to helping you feel welcomed and safe in the space we share together. I am always captivated by the uniqueness we hold as humans, and therefore, I love working with people from all walks of life. It is important to note that I embrace gender affirming and body positive ideals, particularly as it relates to the LGBTQIA+ and Eating Disorder communities.

Serving as a first responder can be deeply rewarding — and at times, profoundly challenging. You may carry moments of pride alongside memories that feel heavy or uncertain. Choosing to seek support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Here, your experiences are respected, your voice is heard, and you are welcome exactly as you are. Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover your strengths, and navigate the path toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

I am seeing people both on line through zoom or in person at my office.
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is a research validated method in which partners learn to identify harmful and entrenched patterns within their marriage and develop the skills to engage in a new way. Your relationship may be highly reactive and conflictual or feel like an emotional desert where closeness disappeared long ago. In either case, EFT can help you create a partnership that is nourishing and a haven for personal growth. I am an advanced practitioner of EFT. I work with both heterosexual and same sex couples.

In-person and online sessions available Tuesday to Friday (daytime), and afternoon appointments on Sunday and Monday.
Hello! Welcome! You give constantly, overwork, and try to do it all. On the outside, you seem in total control, but inside, you feel stretched thin, or weighed down by constant expectations. You may also be navigating dual cultural pressures or high-pressure careers or raising kids, and strategies that once worked no longer help. As a first-generation immigrant and recovering perfectionist, I've been there too, and it is not sustainable. I provide a safe, grounded, non-judgmental space to address challenges holistically. Together, we create practical tools to manage stress, reduce burnout, and build a life aligned with your values.

I offer in-person socially distanced sessions and if coming in person is inaccessible to you we can meet virtually.
Through this work you can begin to truly choose how you want to authentically navigate this life, without feeling like life is choosing for you. You have worlds to explore within yourself, so much to uncover and give voice to. This is a place where we can begin to understand parts of you that have derailed you, turn safely toward parts you have avoided, and unburden parts that have been holding too much. Together we slow down in a world that moves too fast and unravel all that you carry.

It is my goal to foster psychological flexibility, personal accountability, congruence, and access to life force energy for the people that I am serving. I strive to increase their capacity to have a full range of experience. It is my hope that ultimately when people gain a bird's eye perspective of themselves that they will rest in self compassion for themselves and ultimately be free to be their authentic selves and recognize their wholeness. By weaving curiosity, openness, acceptance and love into the therapeutic process we can begin healing.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
