I provide a therapeutic approach that is eclectic, non-judgmental, trauma -informed, and compassionate for all individuals seeking counseling services.
The moment we start to think "who am I," "why am I like this," or "is this the true version of who I am" are moments I consider to be breakthroughs. Moments of self-reflection can be difficult to understand, difficult to seek answers, and just the thought seems bizarre or confusing. At times it may not even be self-reflection. Instead, it is the feeling of guilt, shame, worthlessness, or insecurities. It can also show up as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, somatic symptoms, interpersonal challenges, or strain in quality of life. This is the result of exposure to or experiences of neglect and abuse during our lifetime.

I understand the pain of trauma and know the devastating effects it can have physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
Healing often begins in the presence of another who can bear witness to the hurt and heartache endured. No one should have to walk the road of depression, anxiety, and trauma alone. I work collaboratively with clients to provide therapeutic services that best meet client's goals. I work primarily with adults dealing with  trauma , anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. As a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA), I provide a safe and confidential environment of unconditional acceptance for every client.

I employ a powerful combination of story work, thought work, and trauma healing through Lifespan Integration therapy to support both individuals and couples in finding peace, new life, and flourishing.
If you are tired of struggling, I can help you find a way through. If the wellbeing you know is possible continues to feel out of reach, I can walk with you and support you as we work together to find the root. If your relationship seems to take more energy and happiness than it gives, I can help you, or both of you, find and heal the places in your story that keep showing up in painful ways. My story is also one of loss, pain, and healing. I believe in the work I do and I am not only a therapist for others, but also in therapy myself, on my own healing journey. I believe in being poured into in order to pour well into others.

Are you an intelligent, driven, passionate person who is living a double life? You appear unflappable and levelheaded, but inside, you feel anxious, exhausted, and unsatisfied. These feelings are confusing because you have many of the things you wanted. You’ve had success in your personal life, your career, or as a parent, but everything feels SO HARD. You might also be wondering if there’s something wrong with you. Or maybe it makes total sense that you’d feel this way. Some events from your past are emerging. You suspect trauma and emotional wounds are at the root. But you don’t know how to deal with it.

Whether you are struggling with a specific trauma , grief and loss, anger, depression, anxiety, or feeling challenged with a bipolar disorder or personality traits that interfere in relationships and career momentum, taking the first step inside of counseling is when your journey begins in earnest.
Navigating unexpected situations or traumas, dealing with anxiety/depression can overwhelm our sense of being present in the moment and we may feel trapped inside our feelings. Sometimes difficulties have been present since childhood, left unattended or pushed down repeatedly over the years. Some clients come to counseling seeking ways to deal with a specific trauma , domestic violence, grief, loss, anger, or other distressing emotions, leaving someone feeling isolated, stuck, and without resources. Taking the next step, asking for help inside of counseling, brings you closer to the destination of recovery.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
