I’m deeply passionate about helping people find a fulfilling path through their suffering, get unstuck, and feel more connected to themselves, their family , and their friends.
Chances are you're struggling with ADHD symptoms, trying to adapt by masking in a world that isn’t designed for you. You feel that you were born with a “race car brain with bicycle breaks,” with unpredictable motivation & energy. You feel overwhelmed by the smallest tasks & tormented by deep restlessness. But you’re ready to make a change and find fulfillment and meaning despite your limitations: a sense of purpose & direction. You want to learn the skills that will help you organize your thoughts, improve your productivity, and enhance your motivation, and you also want to feel good about yourself and reach your most desired goals.

As an interdisciplinary therapist I help individuals and couples understand how institutions of power, their environment, family dynamics, and personal experiences influence the development of identity, shaping relationships, self-esteem, and decision making. I strive to help clients identify their difficulties, obstacles, and the narratives negatively impacting their life. Marriage and Family therapist trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
I work with adults and couples who want to better understand themselves as they work through challenges. I support clients as they find strength in a challenging world, adjust to life transitions, and manage difficulties such as families, illness, grief, depression, and anxiety. Using EMDR therapy I can assist clients in processing and healing from personal trauma(s). I see therapy as an active and collaborative process. I'm a mindfulness-based psychotherapist who has studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Nutrition, spiritual psychology, Family Systems, life coaching, Eye-movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, and I regularly combine all of these approaches to promote comprehensive healing for the individual.
My clients are multi-dimensional people - with physical, psychological and spiritual needs - who are doing the best they can to have a gratifying and meaningful life. My role as a therapist is to assist each person to expand their awareness of self and interactions with others, and to identify and change unsatisfying patterns and behaviors. Partners: When couples first start counseling, they often have a lot of anger, hurt, and sadness. Couples therapy is designed to find solutions to problems, express and let go of resentments, rebuild trust through good communication, and learn to live with different points of view.

As a marriage and family therapist , my passion is to work with couples, adolescents, children and their families by working with you towards your desired outcome using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
Hello, and welcome! Life can be very challenging and overwhelming at times. I know and I get it. For some, we tend to try to solve our problems on our own and reaching out for help is out of the question; sometimes it works. If you haven't been able to solve it on your own, I would love to meet you, and together we can create ways towards hope and begin the healing process. I believe that therapy can assist you by helping to identify what has worked in the past, what you already have within that you can draw upon in helping to obtain what you are hoping for in life.

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, and this seeking is often the first brave step toward living into a sense of greater possibility and deeper relationships! *Accepting new clients*- It can be lonely and overwhelming to find ourselves in emotional struggle. The therapeutic relationship is unique and one that I deeply trust. It's instrumental to have a companion and guide as we traverse these unchartered inner landscapes. The pain we feel invites us on a transformative journey from obscurity to clarity. It's so tempting to contract when we are challenged, but it's critical to soften and trust into the process. This movement through our pain rearranges us into an expanded version of ourselves. I bring the qualities of warmth, openness, and curiosity to this transformative work together.

As a "seasoned" mental health professional, I can provide a wide variety of counseling services to a diversity of clients. I have found that providing a safe place for individuals and for couples to explore their "true selves" is fundamental. I work with clients to form relationships that become the vehicle to better navigate a complicated world. I believe our earliest relationships often funnel our curiosity and other potentials into a lane that is too narrow and limits our ability to see options.

Family Therapy

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
