I believe that every one has a story that needs to be told- a story that defines who they are, how they arrived at this point in their lives, and what is keeping them stuck in unhelpful patterns of behavior.

Hi there! I am currently accepting Telehealth clients. Learning to trust someone is hard, but having to face difficult experiences alone can be even harder. I am here to help you make that journey (feel) easier, and help you grow at the same time. Using a holistic, person-centered approach, I will learn what makes you who you are, and will develop a unique treatment plan tailored to your needs. I enjoy working with individuals and couples, people of all orientations, and with military members and their families. I value support and validation but encourage solutions and change.

Therapy is a safe space to explore our lives and the things that can be hard about being human. Challenges can often present as anxiety, depression, or as relationship difficulties within ourselves or with others. I respect and admire my clients for taking the step to enter into therapy as advocates for their needs and goals.

You may be going through something new or feeling stuck in old patterns. Therapy offers a space to slow down and reconnect with yourself. I offer a warm, collaborative approach that helps you make sense of your emotions, relationships, and the experiences that shaped them. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and appear to be managing just fine—but inside, they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why familiar struggles keep showing up. Together, we’ll explore your inner world with care and curiosity, and work toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and whole.

I collaboratively approach therapy, working alongside the client's journey. We work to rewrite the narrative to help free you from negative thoughts that disrupt your pathway to wellness. I used to feel stuck and when I was able to access the tools in my kit from my therapist, it made me realize I had so much to give back.

Navigating a full human experience can feel like both a blessing and an incredible challenge. I know this from over a decade's worth of professional experience in helping people move through the complexities of their personal lives and being a human myself. Over the years, I've worked alongside all age demographics of people from many different backgrounds in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment, and relational issues, to name a few. Starting therapy is a great step in understanding our humanness and receiving support, understanding, and education on where we can start this journey towards change.

Getting to the heart of intense emotions and changing the status quo can be frightening. Yet, so is the idea of remaining in a place that is no longer sustainable. You know it’s time to stop trying to fill that void with what is no longer working. It can be very difficult to step out of expectations and into your authentic self. The decision to seek professional therapy and create movement in your life says you are ready. Anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors and negative relationship patterns can become so overwhelming that we feel distrust in everything, especially ourselves.

Was it difficult to click on this page? Well you did it and if that is your accomplishment for the day then that is one step closer towards healing. It is my belief that healing is a series of small, humble steps leading to transformation. Pain takes many forms, headaches, chronic physical pain, the pain from loss, the pain from one's limitations after a serious diagnosis, the pain from abuse and the pain from the love that you didn't receive. These experiences teaches us some harsh lessons that keep us safe, but they can also keep us trapped.

I enjoy working with adults exploring relationships, family of origin concerns, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress (and growth), grief and loss, and transitions. Each client may seek therapy for different reasons, often because something in their lives has become uncomfortable, unhealthy, unsustainable, intolerable – but each client is so much more than their problem. I've worked with everyone from high school dropouts to combat veterans to long term care residents, and everyone in between ... In every one I see another facet of the best of what it means to be human, and I love to show up and see what we learn together.

You love your partner, but something feels off. You keep having the same arguments, feel more disconnected than you want to admit, and nothing ever really gets resolved. You’re not in a high-conflict relationship, but it’s tense, exhausting, or emotionally draining in a way it didn’t used to be. You might notice criticism, defensiveness, shutdowns, or growing resentment creeping in. These patterns are common and workable.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
