Loss, grief, life transitions - these are part of everyone's life. We need support, and we need to feel safe in order to explore our emotional, somatic, cognitive, and spiritual responses to change. I use the Enneagram if clients are open, and sand play is a rich resource. We may explore mindful awareness, images and dreams, traumatic memories, body sensations, and different parts of our personality: the inner critic, the scared child, the seeker. Presence, listening, exploring questions: these may all play a role. The process of healing opens the way to more peace of mind, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of meaning.
