Through a heartfelt
relationship
with those who are struggling to find their footing, I engage in therapy with empathy and compassion for the hurts and struggles you have faced.
When life throws you a curveball, even if it's an expected curve, it can take your feet right out from under you. It is my hope in counseling to help you find your footing again. To help you discover the strengths you didn't know or may have forgotten, you have within you. I work with individuals,
couples
, and families to find hope when you are knocked off your feet by some curves like interpersonal
relationship
distress, infidelity, empty nest, chapter of life changes, worry, work stress, and parent/adult relationships. Needing to remember who you were created to be? Reach out. Let's talk. (check spam for my email replies, please)

I am a
relationship
and trauma specialist that is particularly passionate about working with adults who may identify with marginalized communities (BIPOC, Queer, Highly Sensitive/Deep Feelers, Neurodivergent), athletes, or high achievers I utilize a range of trauma informed treatment approaches that include mindfulness, CBT, EMDR, DBT, and EFT.
Part of being a human and living means we face pain. Sometimes the pain is so difficult, longstanding, early or layered that we develop behavioral patterns or beliefs about ourselves or others that allow us to survive, but we become stuck in. Often something in our present life invites us back to the pain that we missed. Symptoms like depression and anxiety, burnout, anger, emptiness, or numbness can point us back to places that need healing. Through tending to our pain by hearing the story our bodies, symptoms, or behaviors are telling we can find our way back to ourselves and restore connection, meaning, and hope in our lives.

Thanks for visiting my page. Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed—unsure about what to do. You might be struggling with anxiety, worry, or depression. Maybe you feel exhausted from a
relationship
that "needs work" or the loneliness resulting from wanting but not having one. Maybe life is good, but you’d like to consult with a professional about how you can achieve greater work-life balance and personal fulfillment. You might want to talk and only need someone to really listen.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
