Scrolling through psychology today looking for an in-person therapist? Tired of telehealth? Me too! I'm a family and couple therapist who loves seeing people in real life. It might sound weird, but I enjoy talking about one of life's harder, less talked about, and more taboo things: death and dying. I also have a unique perspective for those dealing with cancer and the hell it can unleash. I am drawn to helping those dealing with cancer or any chronic illness and its impact on their family, the death of their child, infertility, unprocessed grief, and other helpers dealing with secondary trauma and burnout to discover meaning.

I believe that healing occurs when people are given the space to explore their unique emotional experience to better understand how it colors their worldview, sense of self, and relationships with others. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, I work with my clients to make meaning out of both mundane and extraordinary moments, unlocking their ability to live a more fully present, authentic life.

You love your partner, but something feels off. You keep having the same arguments, feel more disconnected than you want to admit, and nothing ever really gets resolved. You’re not in a high-conflict relationship, but it’s tense, exhausting, or emotionally draining in a way it didn’t used to be. You might notice criticism, defensiveness, shutdowns, or growing resentment creeping in. These patterns are common and workable.

You are seen and known... You deserve a safe space to go into areas of heartache and joy. It takes a village to rewrite our ecosystems, especially in places of suffering and pain. Acting and not running away requires risk and disappointment when we invite someone or our community into our hurts, pains, and triggers. Maybe you carry childhood experiences that still echo in your adult life, complex trauma that shaped how you move through the world. If you’re feeling overwhelmed due to a history of struggles with interpersonal relationships, attachment, or trauma know that you’re not alone. This is a space for you to explore & heal.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who’s been in the field since 2022, and my style is anything but cold or clinical. I bring my authentic self into the therapy room—complete with my love of the word fuck and a face that often says what I’m thinking before I do.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life’s messy realities. My collaborative approach blends modalities, primarily CBT, DBT, and parts work, with others woven in as needed. Most recently, I’ve expanded into sex therapy, where we explore desire, pleasure, kink, porn, and other topics too often ignored or pathologized.

Uncertainty is certainly promised to us all. I provide therapy to adults navigating transformational life changes. These may include facing questions regarding caretaking, expanding their family, illness, or a relocation.
Many of my clients work in high demand careers where I hear consistent themes regarding burnout, ever increasing expectations, grief regarding layoffs, and deep hope for greater meaning and ease when it comes to work. I have also come to beliefs we developed growing up regarding shame, connection, and success can show up in the workplace and in broader adult relationships.

Finding the support you need, in the form of a therapist, can feel daunting. Will she understand me? Will she get it? Will she judge me or think I'm crazy? These questions can get in the way of receiving the healing that is available to you. The only way to answer those questions is to take the next step and pick up the phone. By doing so, you set into motion the possibility of complete resolution from the circumstances that bring you suffering. "Vulnerability is the birthplace of everything we are hungry for." -Brene Brown.

I love working with adults and older adults. I often work with people on anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficulty with life transitions. My approach is supportive, warm, and nonjudgmental. My theoretical orientation is eclectic, drawing on humanistic, existential, and narrative approaches as well as skills-based frameworks such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavior behavior therapy (DBT). I work with a feminist, social-justice focused, and antiracist lens to appreciate the ways in which people and their wellbeing are affected by systems of oppression and how this may challenge or connect us in therapy.

Navigating through life’s transitions can be both intimidating and overwhelming – and yet, this discomfort is often an essential step towards growth and positive change. I partner with clients who are feeling stuck in work, school, relationships, or other personal situations, and help them to think critically and often differently.

I believe in a strength-based approach to therapy. Everyone has skills and abilities that we can build on in counseling. People do not live nor heal in isolation. Our families, society, personal experiences, work environments, home life, and the economic and political systems we live in all inform who we are. I have experience working with Addiction/Substance use concerns, boundary setting, burnout and compassion fatigue and secondary trauma, grief and loss, relationship violence, trauma, and childhood abuse. I work with a lot of artists, activists, musicians, and other alternative community members.

It's hard work building lives that really matter - creating relationships, careers... a sense of purpose that enables us to make the most out of life. Yet somehow, many of us feel lost & disconnected amidst all that our lives require. Major transitions, burnout, self-doubt, anxiety & loss can leave us asking deeper questions about who we are & how we got here, more afraid of the answers than ever. Therapy is a place to live out those tough questions to develop the resiliency, self respect & authenticity required to face whatever answers you may find; empowering you to live into your truest self & trusting you are & will be, enough.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
