I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, and relationship concerns by exploring a deeper awareness of both the body and mind. I use several approaches including attachment theory, EMDR, IFS, EFT, and CBT, as I work with individuals and couples to resolve core beliefs which feed powerlessness and shame. I listen to and advocate for my clients to find new pathways through life's challenges of trauma, emotional neglect, grief, and negative self-worth. We don't need all the answers to be "good enough." We need someone to "be" with us as we learn new ways to thrive.

Life’s challenges can feel heavy at times, but you don’t have to face them alone. Reaching out for support is one of the hardest yet most courageous steps you can take, and it’s a privilege to walk this journey with you. I believe in the human spirit’s innate wisdom and its incredible power to heal. As a BIPOC, South Asian therapist, I recognize how internalized shame can influence the decision to seek therapy. This is a therapy/counseling space where you can let your guard down, be truly seen, and know that your story matters.

I specialize in working with individuals dealing with depression and anxiety, particularly those facing uncertainty in navigating new situations or resolving long-standing challenges. Many people struggle with relationships—whether with family, friends, or colleagues—or feel stuck when trying to achieve personal goals. Issues such as grief, loss, and persistent stress can compound these difficulties, and the strategies that once helped may no longer work, leading to feelings of frustration and self-defeat. As a counselor, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can openly explore your concerns.

You feel worried all the time that something bad is going to happen. It's hard to get out of bed or navigate the day. You might be stuck in overwhelming grief. This grief can lead to and include depression and anxiety. You may feel you have also lost a part of your own identity and sense of self. You may be experiencing intrusive thoughts or images that make it hard to concentrate or function. These issues show in the symptoms you experience, behaviors you develop, or through a narrative you tell yourself about the way you are "supposed" to be.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
