I have a passion for helping people cope with societal pressures and expectations that often lead to stress, anxiety, depression and negative ways of coping. Working with women on food and body image issues is a special interest of mine. I also enjoy supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum.
Before opening a private practice, I worked for a residential eating disorder program for nine years, including four years as the Program Director. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through IAEDP, an IAEDP Approved Consultant, a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist through PSI and an Approved Supervisor in Washington State.
I value collaboration with my clients and other treatment providers. I will communicate with all of my clients' other providers to ensure the best care for them. This may include doctors, psychiatrists and dietitians. I take a non-diet approach, focusing on Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size® principles.
