I perceive life as a journey, consisting of searching meaning and coping: Meaning in different roles and aspects of life motivates us to move forward; coping is strategies to get there from here. However, at different life stages, we often got stuck because of different reasons. Thus, either we no longer can see the life meaning(s) and/or our coping strategies are no longer effective. We are likely stuck under these circumstances, which leads to sufferings. I believe that counseling is a catalyst to facilitate the needed changes & adjustments to get unstuck and to have a meaningful life again.

The work we do is collaborative; it requires us both to be present and fully committed to your journey. My clients are honest about their strengths, virtues, successes and growth areas; curious about their emotions, triggers, and patterns; and committed to designing their lives in a meaningful way. Depending on their inner resources, needs, and concerns, I utilize a tailored, strengths-based approach to promote useful life goals through insight and action. This can be achieved by integrating a variety of modalities, both evidence and non-evidence based; and drawing from my personal, professional and spiritual background.

You can reclaim your voice after surviving relational trauma, and you've found someone who understands. You may feel an abundance of anxiety and guilt when you ask for what you need. You may avoid bringing anything up because you don't want to upset anyone. You might be walking on eggshells, or feel that nothing you do is ever good enough. You may struggle with boundaries or feel numb and disconnected. If your relationship with a parent, partner, co-worker or friend, has left you feeling hurt, lost and confused know that it isn't all your fault. The symptoms you feel are understandable, and you can feel whole again.

My work focuses on adults, children, and families. I utilize an integrative approach, which combines deep insight-oriented work with practical skills-building. Adult clients are often motivated to enter therapy by emotional challenges or difficulties in relationships. Children typically present with behavioral or emotional concerns — they may be depressed, withdrawn, angry, defiant, or underachieving — and are brought into therapy by a concerned caregiver. Therapy with children is very different from therapy with adults and requires an approach that is engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.

You look capable from the outside, but inside you’re exhausted, anxious, or stuck in overdrive. Maybe you’re successful on paper, yet your mind won’t shut off, relationships feel strained, or old trauma keeps showing up in ways that don’t make sense. You may be dealing with burnout, chronic work stress, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, high-functioning anxiety, or complex trauma and PTSD. You may even have tried therapy before and wanted something deeper, more precise, and more effective. I work with people who want real change, not just insight. Many of my clients are in tech, medicine, law, AI, and other demanding fields.

If you struggle with anger, stress, and/or relationship conflict, I can help you understand what's going on and teach you effective, empowering, and expedient ways of growing stronger through your struggle. Remember, struggling is not the problem, struggling is a part of life, it's about learning to "struggle well." If you're tired of constantly struggling to understand; if the frustration is overwhelming; if your relationship, your job, or even your freedom is on the line, I can help.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
