Are these thoughts familiar: "Why...?" "I can't seem to get out of this rut!" "I'm so tired of being tired." "I'm not me anymore." "I can't concentrate. I can't sleep. I worry all the time." Depression, anxiety, and grief are often the result of difficult events. The effects of trauma are forced upon us. Our body remembers and, over time, creates defenses that help us get through the experience. Our body speaks to us, but most often we either do not listen or do not understand what it is saying. I'll work with you to learn your body's language, bring unconscious responses to the surface, and reframe them in meaningful terms.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, which explores the unconscious influences of past experiences and relationships on your present life.
Feeling alone in your thoughts? Overanalyzing conversations, questioning your worth, or struggling to keep relationships steady? You’re not broken, you’re navigating something difficult, and there’s a way through it. I specialize in helping young adults work through trauma, improve communication, and better understand emotional patterns, including those tied to borderline personality disorder. Therapy here is real, supportive, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, connected, and in control.

At times in life we all get stuck and come to places where change is necessary. I aim to create with my clients a space where we listen to what your thoughts, feelings and symptoms are telling you about your story. I believe that we are built for relationship, that both our greatest wounds and deepest healing occur within relationship. Together we will explore the patterns that emerge in therapy, and how old ways of relating are being recreated in present day. I believe therapy in a mutual work and that the answers to your healing are within you and the relationship we build.

I draw from several depth-oriented, relational and body-based approaches, including existential-humanistic, psychodynamic, somatic, and EMDR-informed work, to help you uncover the patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back.
You may look capable and confident on the outside, while internally struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, negative self-talk, or an overall sense of being stuck and unfulfilled. These challenges (often unseen but deeply felt) can take an emotional toll, affecting your ability to be present, your mood, and often your work, relationships, or parenting. But you do not have to face them alone. In therapy with me, you'll have space to safely explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment, helping you access the clarity and steadiness needed to move away from unhelpful patterns and move toward a more meaningful, connected life.

Therapy can be a space where you no longer have to carry everything alone.

My approach is attachment based, psychodynamic, & relational.
Serving WA & CO. Pain is a sign that something needs our attention. When we are not aware of helpful ways to manage it, we look to what is available to us to cope. Clients share that they feel "more empowered & equipped" to face the challenges in life. You are so capable of everything you envision for yourself. Sometimes we just need someone to help us remove the blocks that are in the way. You can expect to feel more resourced, educated, & have greater compassion for the parts of you that you might want to cut off. You may be more connected to truth, accessing your voice, & living in your "adult self", ready to move & create.

Beneath the pace and energy of a life, long-standing patterns and inner relationships—shaped by harm, neglect, pressure, or loneliness—can continue to organize how we feel and respond. When what’s available online falls short, or when there isn’t someone to truly turn to, it can leave you feeling uncertain about where to go next. In a world that can feel very different from how it actually is, we often need something solid and genuine—a real relationship—to begin to grow.

I use evidence based relational and psychodynamic techniques to help patients achieve greater emotional freedom, fulfilment and security in relationships and self worth.
My healing begins from a place of connection and an appreciation of your potential and the power we have to impact each other. I will support you in your search for greater meaning, emotional awareness and empowerment in a world that can be overwhelming and isolating. We will begin a thoughtful exploration of how your past experiences and relationships impact you presently. Together we can uncover and co-create new meanings out of your experiences, and these new understandings can give you the power to relate differently to yourself and others.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
